If some series of terrible decisions or circumstances has left you without the only good kind of cranberry sauce, I just want you to know that you can still save Thanksgiving. Stores are still open.

So, when I was in my teens/twenties, I was in charge of making cranberry sauce from real cranberries, on the stove, every year. (It was the hardest thing for me to screw up.)
After seeing your posts about canned cranberry sauce, I caved a couple years ago and tried that instead. We will not go back
Last year we tried the canned whole berry cranberry sauce.
It tastes exactly like the jellied can shaped one, there’s no pieces or berries to bite or chew, it just looks better in the serving bowl.
Be brave, try it.
My aunt is making homemade jellied cranberry sauce that is even better than the canned kind. If there is any kind of mishap or we run out, my mom has several cans in the pantry. We are prepared! 😁
I just got home from the store and saw this post. I’m going to my nieces for Thanksgiving dinner and am now terrified she won’t have cranberry in a can with ridges. I cannot eat turkey (or leftover sandwiches) without it. Back to the store.
I absolutely love this stuff and my Mother never served it like that. She sliced it with precision and she fanned it out on a beautiful serving platter.
I think it's great. It might be that is less cranberry-y than the fresh made kind for those of us that are not that fond of cranberry flavor but don't actively dislike it.
I always make the cranberry sauce for Thanksgiving dinner as my mother did before me, but I can totally appreciate the canned in the right circumstance. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
My hubs absolutely loves this. I made a brandy cranberry sauce for him & he shrugged. When he was on keto, I got cranberry juice, stevia and gelatin I put it in a can. He was delighted…🙄
This is the only cranberry sauce I ever ate until my 19 y/o granddaughter made a delicious cranberry sauce using real cranberries. Never eating the canned stuff again.
That's too cool. I'm 62 and canned cranberry 'jelly' has been on every TG table I can remember. Never saw a dish like this but I'm off to the Google to see if I can find one for next year.
Don't forget to leave the unopened can in the fridge tonight.
Cranberry is my least favorite TG anything. Maybe it's because I grew up in central Jersey where the cranberry biz is one of the nation's go-to, but probably not. Hate the taste.
My wife is a whole berry jelly fan. It almost ended us early on in our relationship. Now every year we have both on the table, it's not ideal, but it saved our marriage.
I keep a stock of this in my pantry year round. I am sometimes moved to make chicken (no need for the big bird) and dressing for no particular reason, and it must be accompanied by canned cranberry sauce. Love the stuff.
3 bags Cranberries, in pot, cover with water. Bring to boil. Add 2 cups sugar, return to boil. Add 1 large can pineapple, return to boil. Let cool and serve.
I asked my wife if I can take a can with me to her sisters, even though my wife made some herself to take. Why wait for Thanksgiving dinner for arguing.
Once I found out how easy it is to make cranberry sauce I quit buying it canned. I like to add other fruit to it. I really like it with pears. I like apple pie made with pears, too.
It’s almost a cult for the canned cranberry sauce. My husband loves it. I think it’s kinda funny or nostalgic but I wouldn’t put it out there without the real thing next to it for comparison. Just sayin.
I often wonder if cranberry sauce was originally a terrible joke natives played on pilgrims, as in 'ha these terrible bitter berries no one, not even the deer will eat them, lets give them to these rude pilgrims..' Then the pilgrims added alot of high fructose corn syrup and sold them to others..

I need those perfect circles.

I don't do that splooge of cran-flavored gel, even the backup can is whole berry.

Don't question the family recipe.
Happy Thanksgiving Hoarse! I'm thankful to see you here.

I put one in my 🛒 for my 86 y/o mom for Christmas.
Sauce should be liquid!
The poodle bites, the poodle chews it
We put it on the table, unopened, but much-loved, year after year.
Don’t ask me🤷♀️
Everything else seems to go together, so whether or not this is gross depends on what that means
I can't stand MW🤢
I think I would like that.
Never again.
I might get some for Xmas.
2 ridges per slice.
I expected it to taste like jello.
