Answer to Vance: Zelenskyy has thanked our country over and over again both privately and publicly. And our country thanks HIM and the Ukrainian patriots who have stood up to a dictator, buried their own & stopped Putin from marching right into the rest of Europe. Shame on you.

This whole country wants bad things for others more than they want good things for themselves.

A grassroots movement is calling on all Americans to abstain from shopping with major retailers tomorrow, February 28, as part of an “economic blackout.” I encourage you to join. https://robertreich.substack.com/p/boycott

Gregg is a former Marine and Forest Service ranger. He's saved the lives of hikers dangling off a cliff or going through cardiac arrest, and he's bravely fought forest fires to save small rural towns. 100% of his salary is paid by WA state. Elon fired him. Share his story.

Advice from a Congressional staff member (sources at the end of this post): MAKE 6 CALLS A DAY -- two each to your 2 Senators and your 1 Representative (their DC office AND their local office).

This was put in front of me, and you might find it interesting (or you might not). It feels to me like a particularly New Yorker–y kind of peeve.

The systems and tools that have been honed to sharp precision for use against the most marginalized people in this country are now ready to be used against everyone else

I went to my Congressman's local office today. First off, they were surprised that I was there. They said they had been getting phone calls, but I was the first walk-in. That said, the phones were not ringing off the hook. If the DC phone lines are busy, try calling the local office.

Folks who skipped the vote because they don't understand or appreciate the role government plays in their daily lives are 'bout to find out reallllll quick.

My thoughts, especially today are with every transgender person and trans child - and the good parents who support them. You are seen. You are respected, you are loved.

This, from @clintsmithiii.bsky.social, has been on my mind today.

Occasional reminder that there’s no, “it’s too late, its over” for anthropogenic climate change. Every molecule of CO2 that doesn’t go into the atmosphere makes a difference. Preventing 0.1 degree of warming makes a difference. Every bit of climate resilience we build together makes a difference.

The Handmaid's Tale is a good book. But did you know that there's a book written by a Black woman about a post-apocalyptic Earth heavily affected by climate change and societal decline. The book was published in 1993, but is set in 2024 following a presidential election 👀 #BookSky #BlackBookSky
