My daughter's gotten really into Warrior Cats so now I'm reading Warrior Cats and I guess "having detailed opinions on fictional cats" is one of those unexpected parenting things 😅

I started rereading these this year because I thought "this will be nice escapism from the current political reality" and then every time Tigerclaw says basically the phrase "make ThunderClan great again", i had to shut off the audiobook and take a lap around the apartment
We read a chapter together every night! We’re almost finished our fifteenth book; we’ve been doing it for like four years now. I have CAT OPINIONS, namely: Jayfeather sucks.
I mean... if the books are set in England like I think they are then that tracks 😅 Reading them actually sparked a conversation with the kids about the impact of outdoors cats as invasive species and stuff, which was cool
