Discourse Minis has a whole series of videos titled like "5 Warhammer games outside of Warhammer" and such.
It is, indeed, an inevitable result of culture forming franchises (proprietary genres) before general "search terms".
This is something I feel personally affected by - naming things for sale.

I don't love framing the success of the hobby entirely through crowdfunding (of one campaign) Creators have been plenty loud, what they need is a wider variety of media signal boosting them. But you can't slay the dragon when you have to keep talking about it for SEO.
