The Tea Party was a good example: Tea Partiers weren’t actually concerned about the absolute size of government - but about government supposedly letting the “wrong” people cut in line.

Hard to sell "He's lying!" in a political campaign when that candidate is pushing all the right emotional buttons to get those marks on his side on a gut level.
Classifying some ppl as undeserving often occurs w/in racial grps.
Whites denying benefits to other whites bc of sex, class, religion & immigrant status is common globally. Ex: Russians in Finland, "bogans" in Australia.
I spent 40yrs in finance. $2T is a 38% cut on 2023's Budget Exp!
The reality of $2T cuts is, I assure you, beyond comprehension. I've done Budgets. It means chainsaws.
