If you want 'astonishing', have a look at how few adults, & girls/women we've found yet.
What a mess.
Most of the testing for autism was designed for boys/men to answer, because they thought nearly all autistic people were men. Better design of screening tests is happening, but decades late.
It's probably around 1 in 30 of the population.

Sometimes I wonder whether if all the minorities got together we would find we are the majority after all.
Current times are similarly hobbled with dictates from the #DSM, although there's still a long way to go before #Autism is properly separated from #MentalIllness.

My mother is clearly ADHD but I doubt she's looked into it, even since I mentioned it a year ago in our last communication.
I write right handed generally, but I've always eaten left handed. I keep forgetting until I go to pick up cutlery and it feels wrong and I have to swap it.
It's a quirk of mine I'm proud of, carrying it on for Mum.
