The feeling that you've been masking for so long and in so many different environments that you don't know which one is the real you anymore. Apparently it's quite normal for autistics to suffer an identity crisis when unmasking. We also grieve who we were and who we might've been. #autistic

When someone tells you they have a hidden disability (like autism/adhd) and your 1st thought is that they don't look like they have that disability... the correct response is not to question if they have the disability but rather to question your understanding of it. That is all.
