i haven't seen it yet (no 3DS) but according to letterboxd folks the director's cut doesn't include the studio-mandated opening narration which actively spoils the mystery the film is meant to be about solving
3DS carts range from like 1 to 4ish GB depending on game size, but anything digitally downloaded (games, videos, etc) goes onto the SD Card - officially Nintendo only supported up to 32GB SDs but you can use any size up to about 128 without too much issue as long as you format the card to FAT32.
thankfully it's much easier to get storage space on other consoles; the Wii U used Blu-Ray and supported external hard drives/big SD cards, and the Switch just uses a standard MicroSD that can work up to 2TB. 3DS is just a bit smaller storage-wise and had a ton of software released for it lol
It’s probably just an ffmpeg UI front end. If you can find the actual ffmpeg settings the program is using, you can run it on the command line without having to use the C# program.
well shit, handbrake should do it but dafuq if I've ever tried that conversion. for sure a gnome in some Zurich basement maintains that functionality... https://handbrake.fr
I use Handbrake daily and suggest it to everyone. --but in the case it can't handle the moflex file type... There are usually people on GitHub making converters for wacky file types, usually inspired by situations like the OP's. Here's one for moflex to mp4. I've never used it, but...

One of the underrated bangers of the 90s. Fantastic movie.

Or is? *'You have the power' starts playing*
but then I think I should be MORE amazed that someone else who remembered it thought to convert it for watching on the 3DS??? what?
moflex
There's apparently a c# program on github from 9 years ago that does it too, but needs compiling yourself.

I now have another way to watch the 3d copy of Denis Villeneuve's Dune I have once I convert it.
I assume VLC plays it just fine.
You could put a salami slice into your CD slot and VLC would probably play it.

meanwhile deep in gnomeworld a disturbance in the force is felt…
And my wallet had been enthusiastically with them since their first home console!
