Our magazine posted info on the local protests before they happened. (Where to go, etc.) We noticed a big uptick in newsletter signups (more than the last three weeks combined) and we saw the traffic was coming from that post. People will support those who are showing them what's actually going on.

These news anchors that I grew up with keep on retiring and I don't know what to do with myself!

From last weeks: What: Director of Education Who: Paper Mill Playhouse is the nation’s premier musical theater. Where: Millburn, NJ How much: $110-125k It does skew towards NY but has remote stuff and it was good to think about what kinds of local orgs are like the ones posting.

A good resource is the Words of Mouth site/newsletter. mailchi.mp/wordsofmouth... When I pivoted not only was it a good place to see job listings it was also helpful to just see the types of jobs being posted.

Have you watched Taskmaster? All the episodes are on their youtube channel. My wife and I got into it in the pandemic and it's our go-to lowstakes/fun watch now.

We reviewed the debut album of new local QC band, Lady Igraine and I've been listening to it a lot. Very prog/math rock in a real good way.

You know, I haven't watched a single piece of media by the guy, but I loved watching interviews about his process and reading up on him. It always tickled me that people labeled him as "weird." I was always picking up what he was putting down.

Also...just mind-boggling to think about how far away junior high was for me and how it was that time plus decades for Peltier's sentence to be commuted.

Just deleted FB/IG too. I'm right there with you. It's definitely a surreal experience. Feel like I'm in the "eyes hurt from walking out into the sun" phase.

We use otter.ai for transcription. Works pretty well for my needs. Feel like its at about 85-90% accurate/just a need a bit of dusting.

Have you ever tried a HiccAway? It's my one "product that sounds like scammy bullshit but actually works."

As a man that struggled(s) with an eating disorder, and wrote publicly about it, I know how hard this can be. Shouts out for showing others that we can be open to processing all of the above.

Nah bro you got it all wrong. It's not just any ole chew cup but a repurposed mt. dew bottle in the console of our trucks.
