I have not heard it called that before. I have heard it called “Scarlet Queen” and “Penstemon Arabesque Red”. We got the seeds from a nursery in our old home town that’s now gone. It really likes dry, sandy and well drained soil and lots of sunlight, although it does ok in dappled light too.

Same for me today. It’s early afternoon here but dark like evening outside, raining hard and the wind is howling. I’ve got a 3 dog snuggle happening and lots of books to choose from. Hubs is watching his fishing shows in the living room. There are certainly worse ways to spend one’s time.

That is certainly true. Some of our family members are planning a cross Canada trip this summer in place of their previously planned trip to the USA.

Same here. Lots of our friends and family that travel to 🇺🇸 multiple times per year for holidays aren’t going any more either. We loved going to Vegas every February- it was a very enjoyable break from our 🇨🇦 winter - we’d hike at Valley of Fire and Red Rock, shop, go out for dinner and see shows.

We’ve always wanted to travel to see Yosemite, Yellowstone & Glacier National Park et al. We won’t ever be doing that unless things go back to normal/sanity. I’m sure it’s not just us Canadians that won’t be traveling to the 🇺🇸 for holidays now. Imagine the massive hit that 🇺🇸 tourism must be taking.

We (as are likely many here in 🇨🇦) are certainly paying much closer attention now. We were having tortilla soup last week,sent my husband to pick up some tortilla chips to crumble on top. He said a
the 🇺🇸 made brands were untouched & the 🇨🇦 almost sold out.He snagged one of the last bags of Old Dutch.
