@girlonthenet.bsky.social I’m listening to Woman’s Hour this morning speaking about stealthing and thinking about you. (Also, as an aside, I wish this offence had a different name. The word ‘Stealth’ has slightly admirable sneaky/heroic vibe doesn’t it?)

When your frock says summer but your boots say winter; that’s accidental cottage core.

Thanks!

When I left home my Dad made up a toolkit for me. I’ve added to it, but at its core it’s still that vintage set. I used it in my old job, & now I’m framing paintings, the friendly, worn, hickory handle of his old awl fits perfectly in mine as I go about the work. Love finds a way, even after death.

Have you got anything positive to share? It’s easy to find bad news…got anything good to tell us? We need to hear as much of it as we can muster.

I’m having to walk home because of a flat tyre, which I thought’d be a downer, but there’s such a Springy, Friday vibe on the streets, workers gathering outside pubs, tradies grabbing a tinny for the bus, kids at the ice-cream bar with pocket money, people buying good, weekend food for slow cooking.

It’s that time…

I’m like the Alannis Morissette of drinking tonight; in one hand I’ve got whisky, and in the other one chamomile tea.

Waiting impatiently for my man to wake up so that he finds out that I’ve down the sleeves of his dressing gown up for April fool’s day! Wake up for goodness sake!! I can’t wait anymore. Hehehe!!!

For a while there, the radiators were ticking the exact same tick that the long-case clock ticked in my grandparents house in the 70s. I was back there for a moment. It felt so nice.

Love the nostalgic build-up of a film with an overture.

Pickling magnolia petals!

Made a meringue/penguin/Antarctic/sea leopard edible birthday diarama thingy.
