I don’t know if this is the place to put this stuff. I used to make haikus of this sort of thing, now I just let it leak out of me. It’s a mess. Maybe I should hand write it somewhere…in my sketchbook or something. Find some purpose for all this pointless observation.

I used rice vinegar. (With a bit of star anise and garlic). It was pretty good on bibimbap or noodles. Doesn’t save long.

They taste very gingery…I’ve had them in salads before, but this is my first time pickling them. Apparently nice served like pickled ginger with sushi or as a light pickled side with Asian food. We’re going to try them in a poke bowl tomorrow.
