Make sure you point out that there’s a lot of stairs in that congressional building… and a lot of fragile hips…

Sure. As a once proud American, I’ll hang my head, endeavor to do better — however that looks and in whatever capacity — and stand against the bullshit. My overall point being there’s nuance to what’s happening here. I’m gonna do what I can to get though these times. Everyone should do the same.

“That’s what Trump does” is not an excuse for anything. As a general rule, whatever Trump does is best to be avoided. My comment to you was to serve as a mirror for your comment and had nothing at all to do with bullying. He lumps large groupings of people together, and so did you. Deal with that.

This of course is no excuse, but it provides context to a wider-than-America problem. This sort of critical thinking and research is what I require of my students in the deplorable system I work in. Just cuz I teach it, doesn’t mean they DO it. It’s not the dentist’s fault when someone has cavities.

Again with the broad brush. Are you sure you don’t have a red hat hidden somewhere? Populism is a global phenomena. See Boris Johnson in UK. Democracies shifting towards anocracy is a global phenomena. See Turkey and Hungary and maybe Israel. Extreme nationalist movements too. France, Italy, India.

To be clear, I said, “I get it.” (And before you paint all Americans with the same brush, remember a) that’s what Trump does, and remember b) the Americans who didn’t vote him into office.) Sorry too, for what it’s worth.

… and somehow still had 7 Southern abstentions and 1 nay vote from UT. But race isn’t an issue anymore.

Caste by Wilkerson and Murder Road by St. James. So far so good. Just hard to read and keep up with the fall of democracy and end of the American experiment at the same time.

I did. Then the vulnerable people didn’t vote for themselves or voted against themselves in record numbers.

“Trainings” implies learning… they aren’t in to learning.
