Whoa, this is legitimately rad. Love the interface. Kudos on the good work! Please share more as it comes along.

Literally laughed out loud.

Love it! I hope you continue to have a blast.

I see the name Smith and a phone booth referenced and I just think The Matrix.

Guns of Fury. It was uploading promotional materials from their press kit (to MobyGames of course!) that got me intrigued. Not far yet, but pretty rad so far!

Yikes. I’ll continue working with MobyGames, The Internet Archive, and Redump for some real preservation work. There’s so much to be done and AI isn’t going to cut it, but whoever reads this can join an initiative/project and make a meaningful impact. It’s fun and rewarding work.

I think I’ll stick with my manual, human-driven work with MobyGames, The Internet Archive, and Redump. I’d love to get involved with other initiatives, but AI isn’t going to do a good job with any of this work. What a waste of time and resources… Phil keeps making himself out to be a real bellend. 🙄

100%. My wife gets the exact same treatment. We both try and get women doctors. Studies have shown they are more attentive and provide better care.

It’s such an amazing game. I wonder how well it will play on the Switch. Might have to find out for myself!

Seemingly EVERYTHING is/was designed by men for men. It’s a very sad reality that desperately needs fixing. It’s a long road to get there but women are overdue being the focus.

Men’s poor mental health and lack of empathy plays a dangerous role to women’s health, and honestly, safety. It’s sad it is this way, but that’s the reality. I would say that women’s health is understudied already, so, it too is desperately needed. Not a great position we’re in…

I think people in general would like to see more study on these topics. It would serve to benefit us all.

If it isn’t scanned and documented on Archive.org - it should be!

I can’t ask enough for more attention being put on preservation and cataloging of games and gaming culture in general. Especially those with time to spare. For interested persons, join us at MobyGames! @mobygames.com

From my experience. Incredibly accurate. Similar to mullets, business on the top, party on the bottom.

Indeed you are correct. Concentration camps. Labor camps. All terrible…

Excellent book, even more excellent collectors edition. Glad I got the ammo box! ❤️

Lmao. So true.

Same thing happened to me yesterday. At least White Lotus S3 premiered last night, so that settled my soul a bit lol

At least big pharma will put a huge fight up against this. The money they would lose on this would be astronomical. Absolutely bonkers what’s happening in this country.

And if you’re “unwell” enough or “addicted” to such pharmaceutical treatments, they are going to make “wellness farms” where we will work to grow crops and become one with nature again. Like whaaaaaat!? Got ADHD? Maybe a concentration camp will help with your focus! 💀
comment in response to post
Yeah, I’m fuming at this news. They want to make wellness farms where they will place us “unwell” folks where we can grow crops and become one with nature. This will spike mass shootings and suicides. They blame shootings on mental illness and refuse to accept it is the guns. Then they ban the meds…

Both are excellent games and worth your time! Have a safe trip. ✌️

Scanning really does take an immense amount of time. I’m at about 400GB of scanned in magazines and growing… Definitely is not cheap. Although if memory serves me right, you’ve got a trickier shipping system to deal with. Nothing ever comes easy! 😵‍💫

The wrestler of the year, every year, will always be John Cena. 🫡

Balatro! Fun playlist options. All of them make for a good time.

Looks like we (MobyGames) have almost 1,500 MSX games recording and we know a LOT more are missing. We definitely need more help/expertise in cataloging more! www.mobygames.com/game/ I wonder if there’s a DOOM port for it… 🤔

I so remember these!! There were also some cool ones of The Simpsons from the same year or so. Rad find.

RetroMags is great! The VGHF Library is so new and still in early access that we haven't had anything come through from there (that I personally have seen). I hope that can be a source, but I think TBD? I'd also recommend RetroCDN, www.abandonware-magazines.org, and psxdatacenter.com.

We are looking for gaming promos/advertisements of all kinds. From magazines, newspapers, flyers, posters, catalogs, game manuals, and probably more. The Internet Archive/archive.org is where most get sourced from, but other sources are fine. I've even scanned in my own from mags.

For me, it’s Wolfenstein 3D. Which is kinda weird as I have a massive DOOM collection. (And that’s just the one shelf!)

I haven’t much cared for them since the N64. The new ones on the Switch are okay. I think if I had kids, it would be different. Probably why I fondly remember the N64 ones. My parents actually took part in gaming for once. (And never again since!)
