"ANF is a subsidiary of Framatome, a French manufacturer of nuclear plant equipment. Notably, Germany has phased out nuclear energy."
A french company in Germany is buying it.

Damn. You should see this from a satellite image. All the lights. Is someone able to check tomorrow?

We are good in Germany. Got our gas situation sorted also with the help of Ukraine and allies.
comment in response to

Exactly. Thats why we will increase our support for Ukraine. This country and its people must prevail.
comment in response to

Germany will keep supporting Ukraine. There is no reason not to do it. Also the in polls leading political party is pro Ukraine support and even wants to extend them with Taurus delivery. The only issue is that this party will try to make close ties with the US. And nobody knows what Trump will do.

The rubel is devaluating against every currency right now. Not just the dollar.

One can see the construction? There are not particular holes in it that would miss the symmetry.
comment in response to
post
It would need to be more symmetrical. All detonations in that sphere need to launch synchronous to compress the atoms to charge of a nuclear explosion. In the wreckage it does not look symmetrical.

Ukraine is pretty strong considering it holds its ground with its own army vs the Russian superpower. Why did the Soviet Union collapse? Was it too weak?

If people in Crimea want independence from Ukraine why they have never initiated a referendum prior Russias invasion in 2014? They could have done it since 1992.
comment in response to

Ukrainians have a pretty strong will to fight for their freedom and independence wouldn't you agree? Why would Russia take it away?
comment in response to

Europe will rethink to strengthen its support for Ukraine. We have capacities.

It is not my idea. It is Putins idea to grab land from another country.

Here is my source for his imperialistic claim: www.businessinsider.com/putin-claims...

Of course Russia has the right to form an alliance with others. But that should not make Russia invade and conquer other countries.
comment in response to
post
You mean political survival of Putin that lead him to attack Ukraine? I hope you did not miss out on his reasoning that Ukrainian land historically belongs to Russia. An imperialistic idea that will keep him going to attack other countries that were part of the Russian Empire.

Do you see any escalation happening by Russia (incl. Iran and North Korea)?

Makes no sense to me. What a waste of resources to put surveillance equipment on a single use drone.

Nuclear strike on annexed Russian land. Classic..
comment in response to

Yes but partially covered under some camouflage these could very well be mistaken. Also consider that FPV drones have somewhere a resolution of 720×576 at 25fps and flying fast with these decoy you would loose a cheap inflatable castle at best. Ukraine should use it too.

I don't neglect the cruelties of this war. But trauma causes trauma and humour causes at least a sense of hope. If you want to take this away from the Ukrainian people then it will look even more grim.
comment in response to
post
I think it is funny that Putin is losing the plot. And while the situation is serious the Ukrainian people take it with a sense of humour that they can claim the Peoples Republic of Kursk to their territory.
comment in response to

I condemn it. It is not okay to invade another country for the sake of having fun about Putins miserable performance about the last years.

I can imagine that in vast quantities this might even work. They claim that two balloons can spawn a 250m net underneath which is quite high. Might protect key areas.

Yes but why would public want to get disturbed by those horrible pictures? It is more comfortable to avoid those.
The unfortunate ignorance we need to deal with until the situation gets worse enough for the individuals to start caring about it.

On the other hand I very much believe that Germans would change their stance very quick in the event of Russia really using a nuclear weapon on Ukraine. It would be a horrible wake up call for us and the trigger to throw in everything we have.
comment in response to
post
Very unlikely as long as the public opinion (in polls) in Germany is against it. Germans are very risk averse and therefore the Russian nuclear black mail works very well unfortunately.

"Explaining". Potentially Zelensky knows that since a while already. But not entirely sure.

I am sure a F-35 can do such things too ;-) I don't think Biden will need congress to help Ukraine.

That is what happens if we let Putin portray himself as the strong guy within his imperialist journey.
