I like being in charted territory.

I am enjoying lunch with my dad at Crooked Pint (having a juicy Lucy and this delicious beer called Tropical Fun Pants), and the soundtrack is a bit of yacht rock. It's a good place to be on a Saturday.

We do?! Excelente.

I'm watching an episode of The Love Boat which features a story about a congressman facing impeachment because he had an affair. How quaint. Can we go back to the days when that was an elected official's worst transgression?

Fine. And Minnesota is now officially known as South Canada.

swear to god if this were a movie script the studio would send notes back saying "tone it down, no one's gonna buy this"

We have the death penalty and still have drug dealers.

Kash Patel is likely the most unqualified person ever confirmed to lead the FBI. The agency was built to go after the bad guys—Chicago bootleggers, gangsters, the mafia, and foreign threats. Under Patel, it’ll be turned into a weapon for revenge to go after Trump’s enemies instead. A total disgrace.

In the waning daylight of a late February evening, a glass of orange upon orange nestles in the snow, as if it is willing sunny warmth to come and melt the winter's cold away.. #cocktails #happyhour #salud #cheers #Friday

This is how Mitch McConnell should be remembered: Without him, there’s no President Trump right now—he had the chance to convict during impeachment and end it, but he didn’t. Without him, there’s no stacked conservative Supreme Court—you’d have more rights today.

Mad King Donnie?

What does the media have against the word "lie"? I appreciate headlines, posts and articles that call out "falsehoods" and "untruths", but why don't we just call a LIE a LIE? It's a powerful word. LE LIED. HE LIES.

Is it really a "shadow" presidency when it's right out in broad daylight?

This country has seen some bad moments in the 61 years, 5 months, 16 days I’ve been on this Earth. But it has never, ever before come close to the supertoxic level of stupidity, mendacity, narcissism, nihilism, and moral apathy that threaten to destroy it today.

I feel like it should alarm more people that this is the richest dude on the planet and every minute of his ketamine-besotted existence seems consumed by an insatiable desire for more—and almost always more at the expense of others.

The point here is Trump does not recognize order, laws, defined terms, accountability. It never mattered to him. And for that reason the Constitution is just a bunch of words to him as well. “I have an Article II that says I can do whatever I want.” That’s why these suits are so important.

"You shouldn't have made me hit you."

I am not making this up: Republicans have introduced legislation… to increase your bank fees.

We need Pete Buttigieg as a clear messenger, more than ever.

I was a resident playwright fellow there 1992-95

When those in power foment hatred and bloodthirst, people become emboldened to act. There are no words for this level of horror.

The measles outbreak in Texas is reminding me of the public letter Roald Dahl wrote about losing his daughter to measles in 1962, just before the vaccine was publicly available.

I think Lady Gaga's Abracadabra is a straight-up masterpiece.

If you’ve ever taken the oath to uphold the Constitution, this is the time to live up to it.

The situation calls less for American Revolution and more for French Revolution

That is exactly what he is saying, and I would not be surprised if those words came straight from Steven Miller's mouth.

Wow, if only they could have voted against him.🙄🙄🙄
