That's a good idea. I am now thinking I might put QR codes for the YouTube series around town.

I was one of those gripers. Becoming aware of Timothy Snyder's "On Tyranny" has activated my and I'm gearing up for action. Maybe pass that if you ever want to help someone who is looking for solutions. His lessons are also on YouTube. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9toc...

5) with Trump (are there any?) voice your concerns to them. Back them up. Be loud, be active, be vocal, cooperate, be passionate! Time to act is now! Check Timothy Snyder "On Tyranny", also his video series on YouTube.

4) You can't knock the leaders from their autocratic path. But you can give systemic office-holders from supporting them. Giving your representatives hell is one way to go. Make it clear: We did not vot you in for that! People already do that. That is good! If there are any Republicans who are not

3) A regime itself has no power. It draws power from institutions filled with people believing they have to obey because a) majority is with Fascists, b) they are in danger if they don't cooperate. In protesting you tell them: You are not alone! Resist! Do your job right! Don't obe in advance!

3) They draw their confidence, their power from it. If they succeed with that narrative, it keeps democrats in check when they start to believe, the majority is with the anti-democrats. Rallies are a method of reassuring each other: We are here! We are more! - Don't let Fascists rule the narrative!

2) That's prolly the most important lesson. Come together, join forces, fight the enemies of Democracy. Don't get caught up in small disagreements. Democracy is at stake! Have rallies, have public protests, make your point clear. Populists love to claim they are speaking for "the people".

1) Be loud, be active, cooperate! Avoid sectarianism. There are always people who you don't 100% agree with. As long as you agree on saving democracy: cooperate! In Germany the political left had been so caught up in fighting each other, they forgot to fight the common enemy, the Nazis!

I'm an American. Do you have any ideas, based on your expertise, about what we can do to stop the autocratic march our leaders have begun?

Hi, I'm an American. As a historian what do you think the Americans can do to knock the leaders off of their autocratic path? Do you have any ideas? We're increasingly looking like pre WW2 Germany.

If you have an opinion on what the Dems should do regarding the shutdown, I'd love to hear your take.

Dr. Snyder, I'm trying to figure out who is in charge of the opposition and what next steps will be. Who do you think we can look to on the left?
