Maybe it’s just me, but submitting weekly tps reports doesn’t exactly signal the end of bureaucracy.

From my view: if he fails, people will hang it around Hochul’s neck regardless “because she didn’t remove him”. by removing him she helps the city and vulnerable people who will be harmed and has a story to tell of fighting Trump corruption instead of a story of passivity.

I haven't seen folks talking much about this, but it seems plainly obvious. Job reports should forecast losses in the March, April, and beyond because these will take time to roll through. For instance, DOEd cuts last week will take a while to trickle through as firms sraped to hold onto good ppl.

Big corps way over estimate political risk and comply w Trump, way under estimating the value of DEI programs. Small businesses, I think, tend to get it because we see, directly, that diverse equitable, inclusive workplaces are just better, good for prodiuctivity, innovation, hiring, retention, etc.

These words can also be read as a clear telegraphing to extremist groups that they will not be prosecuted and they have freedom to do whatever they deem necessary.
It serves to both declare Trump's own view, but also a clear signal to the pardoned Jan 6'ers and others.

It’s quite remarkable how much this is following a very predictable and known playbook. Anyone who has followed the work of Anne Applebaum shouldn’t be surprised at where we are or where things going.

Evaluators and researchers are starting to see the effects of it, too. The sector will be decimated by this over the next six months.

What an astounding letter. Kathy Hochul needs to remove Adams from office. He wasn't simply trading his power for travel favors from a foreign power, he's also trading his focus and priorities for NYC residents to get his case thrown out. Blatant multi-layered corruption.

As a GenX white male... this has been such a disappointing stretch.

It's bonkers how such an innovative region still thinks 1960s sprawl and cars is the best way to grow.

I did this a long time ago. It's actually way more functional, less cluttered, and gives better search results instead of mostly ads.

I was just looking at it today... bummer since these names are set by an international standards board, not some idiot 🍊president.

"Red, White, and Blueland" is an exponentially dumber - and yet perfectly on brand for Republicans - version of renaming french fries to "Freedom Fries".

Senator, for just a week or two, try to get your entire caucus to just repeat over and over and over "they're stealing from you".
Stop talking about if actions are "constitutional" or "democratic".
Stop talking about wanting to govern and find comon ground.
Stop voting in favor of his nominees.

Apple Music is good.
We have an Apple One subscription for the family. Wife and kids use the workouts. I now almost exclusively read news (and magazines) through Apple News. Kids play Apple Arcade. And Apple TV has the highest quality shows on tv today. iCloud is ok, but did switch from Dropbox.

Feels like my two cup a day Stumptown habit may need to change… maybe bulk raw beans and buying a home roaster will flatten my cost curve for a few years?

I get and appreciate the humor, but would be pissed if someone put stickers on my car. We bought ours "before twitter" and while I'd like to get rid of it, really can't right now and am kind of stuck with it. (but feel free to attach them to any cybertruck, they knew).

is this in any way new or surprising? We've known for YEARS that economic growth is all being captured by a few at the top while life outcomes, wellbeing, health, and so many othe rmeasures are declining for the vast maority of Americans.

I really wish Congress would drop their faux “decorum” and someone tell these fucking racist bigoted people to go fuck themselves, strip them of committees, and bar them from Congress. “Gentlelady…” isn’t exactly a rebuke to a vile person.
