Swimming in Kerala, India, a year or so ago.

Are Moira Deeming’s backers really willing to burn $2.3 million just to keep her on the ballot? What does it say about the Vic Liberals when outsiders are willing to spend this much to exert control? Has any other politician in Australia come with a price tag this big?

I have been saying this for years, as a pilot who regularly flies over Sydney, we have more than enough unused industrial roof space for solar to power the entire city, New build code should include as much solar as possible on large industrial buildings. #auspol #solar

Q&A isn’t perfect, but it matters. Killing it is a dereliction of duty by the ABC. This is their job, and they’re walking away from it.

Liberal logic: > Rich family pays $35K in private school fees > Gets $15K back as a tax deduction > School still gets $5K in public funding Taxpayer contribution to one kid’s private education? ~$20K. More than a public school kid gets. Peak Liberal Logic: Subsidise the rich.

Autumn has given way to winter, and the air temperature is now a bit challenging. The late winter sun on the water never fails to disappoint though.

If leadership means disappearing when it counts, dumping responsibility on the states, and ordering vaccines like a last-minute Uber Eats run, then sure, give Scott a medal. The only real lesson from Morrison in that era was: never trust a bloke who’d serve chicken medium rare.

The Victorian Liberals continue their proud tradition of self-immolation.

The major parties are losing their grip, and voters are the reason why. Independents and minor parties just overtook the Liberals in primary votes with Labor in sight. This isn’t protest, it’s rejection. And if you keep voting like this, you’ll change the system for good.

Will the Liberals go to court on this? If they do secure a by-election, how will the voters of Bradfield react?

First swim of winter.

You can’t stand at the podium claiming climate leadership and then greenlight a project that dumps over a decade’s worth of emissions into the atmosphere. The Woodside extension is a test of Labor’s climate integrity, and right now, it’s failing.

Labor delaying the Woodside announcement until after the election is no different from Angus Taylor sitting on energy price hikes. There’s no integrity in Murray Watt’s decision - just politics. #Insiders

18 minutes into #Insiders and it’s still a eulogy for the LNP. They’re over. Let’s move on. Set a reminder for 1 June 2030 to check back in on them - if they’ve figured out how to be a serious party again, we can talk.

Jacinta Price calling out a lack of merit in LNP appointments might just be the most ironic thing I’ve ever heard. #insiders

It’s beyond time for LNP leaders to draw a line: if you can’t follow the science, kindly fuck off somewhere else. A party constrained by Canavan and Joyce has no future in Australia. The party’s dying — and they’re the ones swinging the axe. #Insiders

Sorry, but it's absolutely no surprise that Jane Hume was dropped. #insiders

Waiting for the Liberals to become constructive is pointless - when they’re not disintegrating, they’re stalling. It’s time to lift the crossbench: the engine room of integrity, logic, and long-overdue political courage. That’s who can hold Labor to account.

When the Liberals leave out rudimentary details, it’s usually because you wouldn’t like them. Which taxes exactly? How much are they?

If Deeming goes ahead with this, she’ll have the rare honour of suing every living former Victorian Liberal Premier.

The Pesutto Deeming battle is no longer one of defamation, it's now for the soul of the party. The more ground Deeming takes, the more the party consigns itself to irrelevance. Deeming’s drilling holes in the boat while the moderates hope no one notices the water rising.

Reuniting the Coalition is like duct-taping two sinking ships together and calling it a fleet.
