An Aussie trying to convince our politicians to model a simpler & more effective tax for Australia invented by a mining engineer & two chartered accountants back in the 80s after hearing about the National Party's 15% flat tax idea. #abtax

We are building the world's largest electric ferry in Tasmania.
In Norway for the last 5 years they have had a large electric ferry with a robotic arm that automatically charges the ferry whilst the passengers and trucks are boarding.

Climate 200 won't get the $3 as they're not a party. It goes directly to the independent candidate.

Yes, I agree, but in seats where Labor/Greens have no chance, we need to vote 1 Teal, then 2 Labor/Green. By doing this, we tell Labor that we are unhappy with them approving more mining and gas and help fund @climate200.bsky.social with a $3 donation. #auspol @simonahac.bsky.social

Using aluminium smelters as a giant green battery 🔋 like New Zealand has done. #auspol

On average per year, about 10 seconds for every household and business, or 0.3%, is due to Dutton’s supply shortage. 95.6% is caused by what is happening on the Northern Beaches and other parts of NSW: a dilapidated network that the utilities love to keep on fixing so they can charge us more & more.

For years, I have been trying to get governments and utilities to use underground power lines when new apartments are built or roads are widened. Have you read Power Corrupts by Jess Hill about how they are gold-plating the network, another John Howard scam

Can we please, please get trending topics for Australians?
Please 🙏🏽
Xitter has it, which doesn't help because the place is a toxic hellhole. But all we many, many Australians here on Bluesky see is American stuff - we have our own topics

@support.bsky.team Threads has a save button which is fantastic to bookmark threads you want to read later.
Another great thing would be to save drafts so that you can go back and post later.

An aeronautics engineer from just outside Canberra has a website that details a cheap, fast rail network by upgrading our existing network. One of his plans is to use the centre of the Hume Freeway to increase the speed & reduce the time needed to get to Canberra.

I have encouraged @jimchalmers.bsky.social to undergo a study to utilise the cane train network in Qld regions as a form of light rail 🚈. Great 😊 want to improve Bruce Hwy but the regions need other transport options.

Federal, state, and local elections are held on the same day every four years. Maybe the 29th of February and it should be made a public holiday.
This way, all levels of government can get on with bold visions instead of worrying that their decisions may affect winning at another level.

Trending by country (down under) would be great. 🦘🥧

This is the first trending version released six days ago, & if someone like you can include @bsky.app in a post requesting an Aus Trending tab, we can all like & re-post 1000 times, & Bluesky can see the interest from Oz & include it in their second version. #auspol #AusNews

Chris, that's a stupid answer.
It's the same as saying how a big battery can be built today at a power station while it is still operating. A: Next to it, on the hundreds of acres of spare land around power stations. All they need to do is run a power line to the substation near the power station.

How many BESS projects could be built for $2 billion? We could have one at each major substation in our major cities to suck up everyone's rooftop solar power during the day and excess wind power at night for morning 🌅 and evening 🌙 peaks.

The problem is that it says "limit exports Or find new gas source." The gas industry is pushing for more exploration. It doesn't actually help.

I couldn't bear to watch O'Brien as he attempted to use the massive blowout of UK Hinkley Point C nuclear power station against Bowen. Did O'Brien mention that Neon is constructing its largest battery in Ontario to shift nuclear power from midday to the evening?

Hi Simon, I missed you when I was over on Threads.
Whatever happened with Telstra’s Big Battery project, which would be half the size of Australia’s biggest coal-fired power plant?
