I started a new Draw Steel campaign. I don't have the comfort level with the rules for a smooth flowing session. But I love the game, and I CANNOT go back to the tyranny of the d20. My wife (not a TTRPG player) said, "I keep rolling low and having fun." #drawsteel #mcdm #powerroll #dieD20die

Pretty clear that America's richest people got together in a room some time over the last 5 years & decided that Americans have gotten uppity -- demanding better wages & working conditions, asking for humane corporate policy & an end to racism -- and that they needed to be put in their place.

There are people who have only ever played D&D and are so adamant about only ever wanting to play D&D that they won't even learn new ways to play D&D. This isn't a value statement or anything - people are allowed to have fun however they want. But if you're not making D&D, they're not your market.

I think @chrisperkinsdnd.bsky.social is the best gamemaster to learn from for new GMs. Matt Colville's videos and Chris' live DMing are the best teachers. I wish he would run more online for us to see or listen to.
