base game is great especially on first playthrough and they've refined it as they've also pushed out dlcs.

It's great, especially on the first couple of playthroughs. It lets you make your own leader who guides your civ with some wacky options including a straight up dragon and outer god. Also has handcrafted unique encounters and clever map effects that shake up the rather good tactical combat.

Absolutely mad that we seem to be in the thick of it and it's only getting worse. I don't think we have a clue about the damage that's already been done this year.
