Canada declared war on Germany on September 10, 1939. 1.1 million Canadians served (roughly 10% of Canada’s population) and 42,000 died. More than that were injured. Not alone.

It might result in a more appeal-proof ultimate order. If the states re-file.

I doubt a Canadian said we need to take it “dead serious”. It’s “dead seriously”. We have adverbs in Canadian.

I would have thought, as responsible journalists, the other news organizations would question the WH’s legal authority to change the name of an international body of water. The Gulf is not US territory.

My favourite is when it’s deep and powdery and your skis cut a path through it. Cold fresh air and feeling very alive.

The US has over 2 centuries of democracy. Imperfect, but democratic. That’s the history that needs to repeat itself.

Weaker. Poilievre was on and on about the horrors of the carbon tax, but now we have a real horror, and he’s got nothing.

What are the limits you “might not like”? I’ve lived in several countries, all with universal health care, and Canada’s is one of the very best.

It’s important to evaluate the actions of our politicians but I’m not sure I understand the intensity of your personal dislike for him. Where is your criticism of the PP?

Please stop making everything “BREAKING”. It helps bury the really, truly, drop-everything-level important news.

I’m fortunate to live in Canada. Health care is free. And excellent. Not perfect, and we need more family doctors, but generally, so far, excellent. We don’t say that enough.

We need to build a wall. Keep your drugs and your guns out. I hear there’s a Caravan Of IlleGal Americans coming our way.

It’s one of the weaknesses of the US electoral system. You are always campaigning. Every two years the balance of power can shift dramatically. So much money and energy dedicated to short-term popular gains and running elections and trying to win. At the expense of governing for the longer term.
