The large clinical trial of a new Covid vaccine pill (not shot) was halted by RFK Jr www.aol.com/multimillion... The Covid nasal vaccines may be next up to be axed.

Planes fall out of the sky. Children die from measles. Billionaires run the government. DEI has been replaced by DAF.

Have you heard Kevin Smith’s classic story about Jon Peters and the giant spider from WILD WILD WEST? In our latest episode, we dive a little deeper into the history of this mechanical monstrosity and its #Simpsons parody in “THE SWEETEST APU.” springfieldgoogolplex.com/podcast/ep-3...

aint no way we cut medicaid and housing assistance so jeff bezos could buy this shirt

Whoever is the colourist (or colourists) for SEVERANCE, they’re doing truly great work.

Anyone own the MACGRUBER bluray that can hook a guy up with the commentary track?

Fellow #FinalCutPro editors: anyone else experiencing issues where plugins will just randomly "break" and require re-installation? Usually after an update but also seemingly at random? It keeps happening to me with Dehancer. A re-install always fixes it, but it's really weird.

Guys, it's not *nearly* as bad as I thought it would be. In fact, it was pretty fun!

NEW ARTICLE. What classic episodes of #TheSimpsons have the most movie references? Our latest blog post rounds up the top 10, and shares the secret to their parody density! springfieldgoogolplex.com/blog/the-top...

Long story short? I really liked it... My latest for @thatshelf.com

I cannot begin to tell you how horrible markers are in Premiere Pro. My god!

"No matter how much an A.I. version of Moe or Snake or Chief Wiggum will sound like my voice, something will still be missing—the humanness. There’s so much of who I am that goes into creating a voice. How can the computer conjure all that?" — @hankazaria.bsky.social www.nytimes.com/interactive/...

Oh, hey! I wrote that!

So what "over ear" headphones with noise cancellation do people like these days? Thinking I'd go "Beats Studio Pro" just because of the tight iOS integration, but then tempted by the price of these Anker "Soundcore" ones... a.co/d/ej7sbcw

NBC News is being kicked out of its space in the Pentagon and replaced by OANN.

Did you know that today is the anniversary of abortion being decriminalized in Canada? That only happened because a Holocaust survivor grew up to be a doctor and insisted on performing safe abortions even though it was illegal. Just, you know.. somethin' to think about right now for no reason!

Actually while we’re on the subject, is anyone else confused how WICKED got nominated for best original score? Like they’re SO STRICT about not re-using material, and half the score is just themes from the musical? This genuinely makes no sense to me.

Here’s my hot Oscar take for today: weird how that movie that promoted itself as using very little/no VFX got nominated for best VFX… 😬

I'm not surprised that dune didn't get acting or directing noms because The Academy doesn't take genre film seriously in those regards but I am surprised it missed getting Hair/Makeup and especially Costume Design.

Feeling like everything is terrible and struggling as a result. Which means it's probably time to re-watch season one of Ted Lasso again. What? It's a lot cheaper than therapy!

We are so fucked.

Finally officially deactivated my Twitter account. Probably should have done it a long time ago. But, you know, ultimately drew the line at Nazi salutes. It was an incredible run, but since Musk bought it I'd essentially abandoned it. Hopefully I can find my followers here again. 🕊

Doesn't matter what her role in Congress is, AOC is inarguably the leader of the opposition.

So now that my sweet Second Sight BLAIR WITH PROJECT blu-ray has arrived... anyone know how to remove a region code from a Blu-ray? I know I can just rip the main feature using MakeMKV, but ideally I'd like a 1 to 1 version of the disc just with no region lock.

Very, very excited about this product. Which I had it for the short film we cut last summer. But will definitely need to try it on this upcoming campaign I'm working on.

THE LIGHTHOUSE is essentially the A24 horror version of the classic Simpsons episode "Mountain of Madness".

Reminder when you see this "due to Canadian legislation news content can't be viewed in Canada" the translation is "Canada made a rule we have to pay the people who make the news we profit off and we don't want to do that so we blocked the news instead"

i feel like it’s an own goal to say “that character you made that sucks shit has to be about me, im suing”

Premiere Pro gripe: I always want my markers to be applied to the clip in the timeline, not the timeline itself. But for whatever reason it'll sometimes work or sometimes go to the timeline. How do I prevent this?

Did I just spend $30 for “luxury” hand soap from Malibu + Goetz? Yes I did. Do I feel bad about it? No I do not. If I’m going to have to wash my hands once every hour this cold/flu season I need to at least elevate the experience.

I need to buy a new video storage solution for our office. Basically to act as an archive of media/finished projects. What do people suggest? I watched @snazzylabs.com recent video on the Ubiquity and that seems cool but maybe overkill? Do I just buy a Synology and some big-ass hard drives?

I'll never forget seeing a rough-cut of the Jennifer Lawrence movie CAUSEWAY. A very straight forward "talk-y" drama. The number of rough/unfinished VFX shots would truly astonish you. But watching the finished film you'd have no idea there was any VFX at all (other than the leg replacement).

The worst timeline

look at all this "no CGI" youtu.be/Vsz1GOXJE8s?...

I've decided that now that I'll be cutting a feature film from home I need to invest in a standing desk. What are people's favourites?

Spielberg quite literally made *an entire movie* while post production was being finished for a different movie of his. Again, the more time I spend on social media the more I'm convinced regular folks just straight up have no idea how movies are made.

My co-host, and data nerd, @natestorring.bsky.social put a lot of work in to this! And the answers *may* surprise you! Or not? I don't know, maybe you're a big nerd too.
