so many special interests, not enough time

I'm taking no prisoners (I'm an abolitionist)

"But Matthews’s case shows that even as these apps have made it easier for people to connect with a seemingly endless pool of potential lovers, they have also made it easier for people who commit sexual abuse to reach a seemingly endless number of potential targets." @eedugdale.bsky.social

LOVE IN A F*CKED UP WORLD by @deanspade.bsky.social is a book I’ve been itching for. I’ve long felt lost about how to practice politics interpersonally after being burned from a former organization. What I love most: it reads more like a love letter rather than a self-help book.

"But the truth is sometimes all you have is a band-aid, and while you may think to yourself that the band-aid is not enough—do you refuse to use the band-aid on because of that? No, of course not. You wash the wound and put the band-aid on..." cc @floralashes.bsky.social

"Feelings of angst, embarrassment, shame, sadness, and so forth are universal to all humans, not just trans people. What is trans-coded, however, is the longing to escape and connect with others."

"We need to provide hazard pay to essential workers, end evictions, pay people to stay home, make tests free and accessible to everyone and we need everyone to wear masks, stop holding/attending indoor in-person gatherings, stop unnecessary travel and get vaccinated and boosted."

I got mad at the New York Times after their editorial board released an opinion piece condemning Trump's anti-trans EOs and I decided to write about how the paper of record laundered transphobia into the mainstream and paved the road for Trump's transphobia. www.patreon.com/posts/nyt-ed...

truly a fantastic performance, also deeply appreciated All the Stars

"Making friends with other disabled people can be one powerful way of combating isolation. 'Access intimacy' refers to the support that comes from having another person understand access needs on a deep, nonjudgmental level." @thesicktimes.bsky.social

i wrote something about This Place for @404media.co. please read it, and then log off. 💗

I'm stoked for the Puppy Bowl honestly

I'll take even the most vague Christian imagery in dark pop

www.teenvogue.com/story/how-ab... I spoke to @teenvogue.com about my last book, Reproductive Rites, Donald Trump, the Che Guerva of abortions, and why this book is so critical of the occult community 😇

so tragic that the Beatles' AI song won a Grammy but 10 Drunk Cigarettes didn't

“A lot of the increase in drug use in the prisons is being used to exclude people’s access to mail, even though a lot of the drugs are actually coming in from the officers,” Godvin said. [...] the fact that it’s officers more often than not just gets totally left out.”

wild how one of Celine Dion's best songs was featured on the Stuart Little 2 soundtrack

Donald Trump has just released a national under 18 trans care ban executive order. I am working through specifically how it tries to do this, and will live tweet here section by section as I read through it. It is not yet on the website, but has been released via press release.

I honestly think obsessing over Elon’s gamer status / gamer cred is not the story, but rather the labor conditions of the person / people grinding out his account. How are they getting paid? What are the hours like? How exploitative is it? I think it’s telling that the labor angle hasn’t come up yet

so maybe Eraserhead (1977) wasn't the best watch for my first David Lynch movie ever...

We can stop reading the NYT and WaPo any time and support independent journalism instead.

I have decided that typos are just easter eggs for readers

two years ago, I launched a Substack newsletter little did I know it would help me reignite my love of writing <3

there wouldn’t be I Know Who Killed Me without David Lynch 💙❤️

"We’re hearing a lot of stories about people who are smartly evacuating when they’re being told to leave. But not many people are talking about the sacrifices they’re making in the name of safety. " - @xoxsai.bsky.social

"The more I centered my journalism around cannabis, though, the more I felt conflicted. While I'm proud of much of my cannabis journalism work, I disliked the climate the cannabis media industry took towards commercial content."

this is an Elliot Sang stan account

I love New Jersey and New Jersey loves me

Questions like this pose a reason to be in correspondence with incarcerated people directly, actively, and regularly

Unlike you, I got my news from a reliable source

big day for queers with religious trauma (new Ethel Cain album dropped)

editing is just rewriting the same sentence 47 times until you realize the first draft was fine all along… right?
