Every editorial decision of theirs is based on maximizing engagement and online chatter
Whether they make you angry by misrepresenting trans care or make you angry by apologizing for it, you play right into their hands.
Like list how many trans articles/opeds they wrote, how many used misleading or disproven claims or normalized anti-trans viewpoints vs how many were truthful and accurate to the trans experience, etc.
Make them their role anti-trans hate.
I respectfully dissent from one part, however. Hiring a trans columnist is useless right now. It would only destroy the credibility of the columnist. Other changes - like quoting trans sources on trans issues - have to happen first to earn back the minimal trust a columnist will need.
(Actually, I think it’s less stupid than that: I think they could give two fucks about what’s happening, but being contrary to presidential platforms and juuuust on the side of outrage gets more clicks.)
