I played some sports as a young kid. My Mom attended *some* of my games (maybe >50%?). I never expected more, and that was never a proxy for support or love, nor was that a question. But I have relatives who attend every one of their kids' MANY games, and I -- a big sports fan -- would want to die.

Lead by example by biking to things (transportation), wearing normal/work clothes (stop showing up for a 2 mile ride in a bike jersey and Lycra), taking your kids places, just being regular. (Also, pics of hauling a fridge or whatever DON'T HELP. That's not relateable.)

In his 1st 10 months of life last year, my baby rode on public transit in Chicago, Mexico City, Austin, DC, Philly (subway and commuter) and Baltimore. I dunno what these pussies are afraid of.
