lol I always watch on release day and sometimes I still see spoilers before I watch it. tho I don't see much severance discussion here on bsky but it's all over my twitter feed (and on Discord)

I've mainly noticed that issue on YouTube TV - in dark scenes it becomes super compressed for some reason

there are 71 bluesky-hosted pdses that users are spread across

wrong

the bluesky-hosted pds servers are each named after a mushroom, the text isn't related to your profile

oh it has clipboard history on Android? nice, I wish that was possible on iOS

I've been using Gboard for years

yeah, so it would be technically possible, but in the ui one link corresponds to one embed.
comment in response to post
discord is just using plain markdown for the quote post so that's why it looks different from the native embed ui. idk if that'll change since that would need changes to the app code linking the username would need facet parsing, hopefully will happen sometime
comment in response to post
hm it would be possible for Discord to do 2 embeds but that might be confusing ui

slate is actually owned by core product now (at least it was in summer), but apps owns roles lol

that is not true. I worked at Discord while this code was being written in 2024. it was also requested by users very often during that time

I worked at Discord and can confirm that this is legit and that the commenter actually works for Discord.
comment in response to post
the quote is from their reddit comment www.reddit.com/r/discordapp... and they also privately confirmed it to me

personally I'm a big passkey fan, a month ago I said to friends "magic links fucking suck, everything should just use passkeys" (probably in that exact situation lol) but admittedly getting passkeys on all devices can be a hassle. I hadn't thought about offering both options, that's a great point
comment in response to post
oh I hadn't seen that 404 media post, but that's the only website I run into magic links on and it annoys me so much lol. nice to see that they're aware of the issue and responded to it, but I disagree with their position that in app browsers are the design issue rather than the magic link system

yup

I mean, everyone knows about the hey Siri feature and it asks you if you want it on or not... obviously it's "listening" to enable that but I don't see why that would be an issue
comment in response to post
yeah ig they just shipped the build with dev mode turned on - there's also a developer options section in settings

interesting, Discover seems to now show the reason why each post is there, next to the buttons 👀
comment in response to post
the bar just jumped between tabs instead of sliding between them

competing with @raycast.com now that they're releasing Windows support? 👀
comment in response to post
that icon was considered too but I think people didn't like it
comment in response to post
yeah of course accidental clicks were a theory, but the increase was on actual forwards not just clicks on the button
comment in response to post
it was a chat bubble with a right arrow on it (meant to be a "jump to message" icon but not used for that yet) turns out changing the forwarding icon to the reversed reply icon increased forwarding use a lot, presumably because this is the icon that every other platform uses for forwarding

I think ur thinking of the quiet mode/focus mode experiment - gray dot mode is different

Discord has supported passkeys for a year :)

yeah main feedback I've gotten from friends who've tried bluesky but not used it much is that the discover feed is too cringe and boring
