They were already existing holes and gaps in the board, it was the reason I kept these boards in particular! I thought the placement would be perfect :)

Many people ask me this but honestly I think its just practice -I've been doing it for almost 6 years now, I've just ended up with a feeling for the right tension! If it helps, I always use thin single strand and never remove satin stitch from the hoop to keep the tightness :)

Thank you so much! And it varies a lot - that one in particular was between 160-170 hours I think as it was much bigger than my usual landscapes, but most are between 10-20 :)

It varies a lot... I didn't time this one but all the tiny knots for the maze hedges took about a day in total. And thank you!
