It will be a while. I have a large to-do list and not a lot of free time right now.

This is an amazing deal, love Black Mesa

Nothing yet. I have a huge to-do list though - 1.21.80 and 1.21.90 have added so many more changes for resource packs than most people will realize.

Legacy4J has its own version of the biome_client file from Bedrock Edition for custom water colors!

It doesn't work as a proper workaround because the game crashes if you have too many items names in an expression. That's the whole reason I was excited for this is_carrying_block query! It replaces hundreds of queries with one.

Correct!

It's also worth noting that this is now the only Bedrock-exclusive cape... :(
Bring it to Java, cowards! Let me look spectacular!

The Animal Crossing and the classic Disney song videos are absolute bangers and they were just in the last two weeks, I don't think you've lost a step at all

Hi kmb! Thanks for the report. Each fog file has received a new "volumetric" configuration for Vibrant Visuals, but the Aspects fog files are currently missing that information.
I'll add the proper fog config settings in the next update so they still appear in VV. It may be a little while though.

Honestly, the chances of anything getting completed seems unlikely, since usually once something gets rushed out, it stays incomplete and buggy. This likely will follow the same route.

Is there any chance we could see a main_hand vs off_hand filter for is_carrying_block? Other held items queries have this functionality so it's weird that it's missing on this one.

So happy to see the query.is_carrying_block functionality added for other entities! It will be extremely helpful for fixing item poses in certain resource packs :)

The plan is to update Timeless Adventures when I have the time! Console Aspects hasn't even been updated for 1.21.90 yet and I can't update Timeless until that is finished.
I'll also have to update the world with Spring to Life and Chase the Skies features, so that will be quite the undertaking.

This one made me very happy too, along with the cross model fixes for grass, plants, cobwebs, amethyst, kelp, and more.
There are still lingering issues with both though. It's frustrating that Mojang couldn't fix them fully. I have a few reports of blocks that don't work with the new systems.

They only fixed the shadows because I reported it :)
Specifically, it will help me a lot with Timeless Adventures if I don't have to add the shadow myself! So I'm glad they fixed my report.

Neither of my Aspects packs will support Vibrant Visuals for a long time, because of this.
I'm going to have to spend weeks creating MER textures for every single block, item, and entity in both packs - and Aspects is nowhere near as bad as most full replacement texture packs!

It's a fundamental problem with their system. RTX is horrifically broken without support from the resource pack creators side because light sources don't emit any light. It's unplayable. Deferred Rendering is the same issue.
The only solution is making pack creators create thousands of textures.

Minecraft Bedrock has felt unfinished for eight years. Every major update has released with issues in recent memory, back to 1.16. It was okay for most players, because it still ran well.
But now there's practically 0 incentive to use it. VV should not be running worse than Java with shaders!
comment in response to

I don't think Mojang understands how much they could torpedo Bedrock's remaining goodwill if they break the performance.
The main positive that people still talk about for Bedrock is the performance, and Vibrant Visuals makes it run worse than Java (on my devices, at least).

However, this fix should definitely be prioritized to come out in a hotfix. I've started receiving lots of bug reports due to this bug:

Excited to see the fixes for animating multiple texture variants and using the is_hurt_color and on_fire_color overlays! Those were very frustrating.

It's also worth noting that Mojang is enhancing the Java Edition visuals in small ways every update now. Cloud distance, beacon render distance, and distance fog have all been changed very recently!

Correct!!! The disc names are forced to be light blue in Console Aspects, so the section code makes the actual name: §bMusic Disc
comment in response to
post
It's based on a percentage of your render distance in Console Aspects. The fog starts at 40% and ends at 90%. I don't want to go any stronger than that, since at low render distances, most of the world already looks foggy.
