Ah, theres that "why bother?" spinelessness that has come to define the democrats.

A tip for handling people like her: learn what a "waifu" is, pick one and develop a detailed story about why you like them that takes hours to explain, and as soon as Chatty Kathy tries to get you to take out your earbuds excitedly launch into it and don't stop until she's asking to change seats.

This is exactly it. The responses to her post contain some incredibly horrible people pretty much saying this outright. Wanting to listen to a podcast or read a book instead of spending hours chatting with a complete stranger means you are anti-social and emotionally maladjusted, and they hate you.

I didn't know who she was either, but a quick Wikipedia glance told me enough. Evangelical, worked for Mitt Romney campaign, Ghost-wrote books for Sarah Palin and her daughter and other clowns.

Well that depends. If they immediately put the earbuds in or pull out the book they are probably an introvert, but if it takes a few minutes they could also be an extrovert who just doesn't want to talk to Irminsul.

Feeling that strangers owe you their undivided attention and getting angry at someone for not giving it to you just because they got randomly paired with you on an airplane seating chart is incredibly anti-social and emotionally maladjusted.

We should give ICE agents proton packs too so while they are looking for these "actually dangerous people" they could also bust some ghosts, which also definitely exist.

Right now the democrats and their diehard supporters are in the stage of their addiction to two party politics where it's not them or their bad actions driving people away, it's everyone else's fault. Refusing to fix their party, and lashing out at the people fed up with it's unacceptable behavior.

They say that you can't polish a turd, but this proves that you can at least sculpt one into something and spray paint it gold.

Just announced: the next guest on the new podcast "This is Samwise Gamgee" is going to be the Witch-king of Angmar.

Wait, are you saying that if I get pulled over they're going to arrest me for not being a real Ghostbuster?

Is it Mystery Science Theater 3000 The Movie?

That's all fine, but it's still supposed to be a comedy, and after watching two full episodes I didn't think it was even slightly funny. So decided it wasn't for me and stopped watching.

I was already staying up late to watch SCTV with my Dad when I was four years old, so I've loved Eugene Levy and Catherine O'hara for almost my entire life, but I was only able to make it through two episodes of Schitt's Creek before I gave up.

This is giving him the (undeserved) benefit of the doubt that anything he says is at all genuine or serious, and that he isn't just saying whatever while they gut the government and loot the country. They don't care about anything except being able to steal everything they can get their hands on.

There are perfectly good foundries all across this fine nation. So many giant cauldrons of molten metal with far too few billionaires inside of them.

I'd recommend Twenty-five Twenty-one, Doona, and Our Beloved Summer. Those are three of my favorites.

I absolutely love Attorney Woo, and Castaway Diva is really good too. I got hooked on Korean TV about a year and a half ago, and I've pretty much lost track of all other TV shows since. There are so many great ones. My favorite thing is that they usually tell a single story beginning middle and end.

The director started off in animation so he made an animated Train to Busan prequel Seoul Station which is also excellent. The live action sequel Peninsula is okay but not great.

Maybe not ever, but definitely in the 20 years since Shaun of the Dead.

Such a great show. I'm currently rewatching it for the third time. A while back they announced a new season for 2024, but I haven't heard anything about it for a long time now.

During Mad Max the oil wars were going and the world was already on its way to hell. As seen in the movie there were still pockets of relative civilization but in the end Max went off into the lawless wasteland which is where Road Warrior takes place. Between RW and Thunderdome the nukes dropped.

They're just fan theories. There's nothing in Fury Road that implies it (unless it's shown in Furiosa, I haven't seen that yet), and the pilots aren't the same character either, just him reusing an actor he likes. He also did it in Fury Road using the same actor as Toecutter to play Immortan Joe.

I always loved the progression in the original movies. Mad is society on it's last legs with most areas lawless wasteland, Road is after the final fall and they're just fighting for scraps, and in Thunderdome there aren't any scraps left, so they have to actually start trying to rebuild something.
