600+ volunteers. 8 neighborhoods. ≈7,000 ballot signatures collected. In a single day. Our momentum is powered by people.

Andrew Cuomo is running for Eric Adams’ second term: the same donors, the same agenda, the same chaos. But I believe New Yorkers are hungry for a different kind of politics—one that puts working people first.

We echo tonight’s winner, No Other Land: “We call on the world to take serious actions to stop the injustice and to stop the ethnic cleansing of Palestinian people."

The end of year budget numbers are in and...DSA has ended 2024 with a $1 million surplus.

🔴What is the Working Class? 🗓️ Wed, March 5, 8pm ET/5pm PT NPEC and DSA Co-Chair @ahsheek.bsky.social will talk about class. Why do socialists see the working class as the central agent for change? Who exactly belongs to the working class? And more! RSVP🔻

Billionaires like Bezos are terrified that people will learn the truth: the rich and powerful run our political system and only the organized working class can overthrow them

Step one to making sure Eric Adams is a one-term mayor: buy this hat. shop.dreamfornyc.com

glad to talk to @keeanga.bsky.social @itsmccarthy.bsky.social, @danieldenvir.bsky.social, about our increasingly weird political situation and the role that identity politics plays in it. even if this episode isn't for you, @thedigradio.bsky.social is a gold mine thedigradio.com/podcast/woke...

🚨 NEW GMC 🚨 Jeff is joined by Co-Chair of the Democratic Socialists of America @ahSHEEK Jeff and Ashik discuss the current situation in America and how organizations like DSA can build power.

TODAY IS (STILL) THE DAY Get Elon Musk out of our government and save our services! Find an evening action near you: bit.ly/SOSaction

In the world’s richest city, making the minimum wage shouldn’t mean living in poverty. As Mayor, I'll work with City Council to raise the wage floor to $30/hour by 2030. When working people have more money in their pocket, the whole economy thrives.

One last day...

Post-Election Statement The results of the special election are in and the people have spoken: build more social housing and make big business pay! And not by a narrow margin, the latest count has Prop 1A at 58.24% ahead of Prop 1B at 41.76%!

Huge props to all of our comrades who worked on the #Prop1A campaign. Hours upon hours working with @houseourneighbors.bsky.social on canvassing, phone banking, postering, and more led to a monumental WIN for the people of Seattle. Billion dollar corps can't buy the people's vote.

I'm with Kelly here: deeply interested in leftism as a political project but have no interest whatsoever in leftism as a subculture. the stakes of leaving this behind are hopefully clearer by the day

SAY, BOSS

THE SUPER BOWL HALFTIME SHOW IS UNION MADE! Shout out to Kendrick Lamar, and all the performers and behind the scenes workers that made this go off without a hitch!

Unelected billionaire💰Elon Musk is destroying our public services and attacking our federal workers. Yet leaders in Congress claim they have no leverage. Tell your reps: 🥄 stand with federal workers 🚫 halt all work in Congress 🫸 stop Musk ⚡️Take action: socialists.nyc/stop-musk/?s...

We're calling this a win! It's so great to see principled solidarity actions like this from our DSA electeds in City Hall

"As Trump's tyrannical power grabs spark outrage, there's hope. Traveling the country as co-chair of [DSA], I hear a common trend in every conversation. What people want are fighters. People who will fight for them, their families, their co-workers, and their communities."

"The only way to win is to fight for our rights as hard as we can, for as many and as much as we can. We know it works, and so do they."

Since Trump's election, many Democratic pundits & elites have indicated it's time to stand down. They think the “Resistance” of protest movements from 2016-2020 went too far, & people should now fight less hard. I call these people "The Desistance”— they’re wrong! www.newsweek.com/anti-trump-r...

if you don’t listen to left reckoning you’re missing out!! great interview this week w/ DSA national co-chair @ahsheek.bsky.social. joining DSA has been one of the best choices i’ve made this year, def check out the show -> www.youtube.com/live/AocL0Zp...

. @aoc.bsky.social on what got her to join @socialists.nyc: "A lot of people talk about [organizing], but aren't always being about it. This was a community of people who were being about it."

Jeff Coltin in @politico.com on @aoc.bsky.social: “Tonight, Ocasio-Cortez is not at an Iowa steak fry, but a mass call with the New York City Democratic Socialists of America, focused on the roughly 500 new members who’ve joined since Election Day.” Join us! actionnetwork.org/events/mass-...

Over 4,000 New Yorkers have called on Governor Hochul and the New York Power Authority to build 15 gigawatts of public renewables. Now we have proof it's working. In today's New York Times, NYPA CEO Justin Driscoll has admitted that 15 GW is on the table FOR THE FIRST TIME.

While Dems go on Pod Save America to justify their extraordinarily bad campaign decisions, the DSA leadership is on Pod Damn America talking about organizing to resist on.soundcloud.com/H41N3ir9Bzpd...

My niece made a Spider-Man masjid

NEW ✍️ from me at @groundworkdsa.com! "The AOC Question" isn’t just about AOC—it’s about how DSA engages w/ the officials we elect. Too often, engagement is reduced to calls for “accountability” that isolate instead of organize. Let’s build, act like a party and co-govern effectively.

DSA chapters should organize for & expect regular public engagement with elected officials they endorse — it’s an important part of collective organization & building toward co-governance against a hostile establishment. Looking forward to seeing what’s discussed here
