Oh you didn't like Aasif Mandvi? (There's nothing wrong with him but it was weird casting)

In my biased opinion of course. Lots of other factors involved. But like in 02 we were bullied into conversion therapy. In 15 i was overwhelmed with support and love. Now I have family threatening to ban me from holidays for having a beard.

I came out as gay (then bi, then pan over the next few years) around 02 at age 18,and trans about ten years ago at 30. All in Texas.Right now trans politics feels more like 02 than 2015, but somehow much worse.02 we were worried about dadt and doma and had to hide.I felt safer when I came out trans.

Eesh...I definitely believe you're talking more to people about suicide lately. Times are...bleak. I've felt it. Damn near everyone I know has felt it. I softened on guns after talking to that guy, and lately had to weigh the pros and cons for myself. I do need self-defense one way or another.

If I had children, I'd have left the state years ago. It's NOT safe here for trans people at all.

Yeah. I know how dangerous it is here. I'm one of many who can't leave and it's scary af. Doesn't mean guns makes suicidal people more safe, doesn't mean we deserve to get yelled at and told we want to be murdered.

I think you can google that for yourself.

Up to two years ... My thought is light sentences could be served in jail instead of full-on prison.

I guess all I'm saying is you can be pro guns and still berate trans people for their own oppression. Get with it libs!

To be fair the last democrat I talked to about guns told me as a trans person in Texas who doesn't carry, I must want to get "hate crimed". I don't carry because of mental illness, not just mine but my partner's as well. That wasn't good enough for him and he yelled at me over it.

Yeah, and in the article it said they already had to close the street again for safety concerns π let's introduce cars where there haven't been cars for years. Drunk people famously can adjust to environmental changes and are very good at not getting hit by cars

Don't worry, they're working on making 6th also unwalkable. I read an article where they said they found out people were hanging around sixth and not going into businesses, so they're opening the road up to cars to prevent "crime".

My first thought was oh great, what happened today? Then I realized you meant yesterday. Guess I'm just expecting every day to be disgraceful now.

Except Jeb did that at the end; he was just so tired of fighting and struggling for every bit of attention and he knew he's done. He was cranky as heck by that point and just wanted his binkie and juice box and a nap.
Problem is, Jeffries is trying to get started with that same kind of energy. π

Sure, but some of us are uncomfortable with the government having the right to decide that. Especially right now.

I'm also thinking Trump accidentally calls him pence all day and can not remember who he is even when reminded

I guess they can also put on the list that they made a cool graphic to really stick it to all the constituents out there who think they just spend all day huffing paint.

Yeah. I voted for the lesser of two fascists. Fuck off. The blame is on the garbage party and their garbage candidates. Not trans people in red states voting purely out of fear for their lives. Fuck off.

Unless you mean one of them as in being trans. I know Dems think it was our fault they lost π

One of what? I voted Democrat.π But I'm not dumb. I see how they're acting and it's bullshit. Always was.

Oh and you can't get mad at me because I did vote. I'm trans and in Texas and was scared so I voted all Dem. It didn't do shit but now no one can tell at me π
comment in response to

This is why some of us didn't want to vote for them. Not because we thought Harris and Trump were the same, but because the Democrats seem to be trying to lose/seem overjoyed that they lost and eager for the new regime. There is NO difference in who you vote for if one side throws the election.

I just lost my dog for two nights while on vacation...not even a fire. He showed up on the porch the morning we were supposed to go home. So it broke my heart to see this guy's reaction to getting his dog back. Such an incredible moment. Hold on to that feeling forever. β€οΈ
