You can—and must—take them back. But none of the legislation envisioned giving the president absolute carte blanche to make up pretexts for applying tariffs. There is no import surge, no war, no threat to national security. These tariffs are based on lies; they don't pass a rational scrutiny test.

None of the acts delegating tariff powers envisioned anything like this. There is no national emergency; no sudden surge of imports; no threat to national security. This is already a flagrant violation of current law.
