If you want to hire it out, I know of some really good folks who are native-focused. They also took to heart when I said, "Yeah so I'm lazy. I want it to be friendly to area wildlife and insects, look nice, and require as little work as possible." haha

Or even doubling down instead of admitting maybe this isn't panning out how they expected? I just can't.

And I think that's what I'm struggling with the most: why other people don't seem to care about those things... and how they are sticking their heads in the sand, like "la la la, this doesn't affect me so..." It will. It will affect all of us and those who come after. Perhaps irreparably so.

There are changes with every new administration, sure. But, like, we can't get those forests back once they are logged. We can't go back in time and feed and educate kids we're depriving of those basic needs. We can't bring people back to life after basically killing them by reducing care/benefits.

I don't really want to get into it here in feed, but if you're thinking about getting an MMR shot as an adult without a titer, send me a message. I might have some helpful info for you.

It made zero sense to pull the plug after such acclaim. It was also maybe a little ahead of its time. With all the weird stuff out now, I wonder if it might fare better today. Brit still can't post anything on Instagram without people demanding part III.

This year definitely needs to lighten up. 🎄 See what I did there? Light, lighten? Yep, I'll just see myself out now...

I dunno. Doesn't it make it even more special when I put it back out every November vs being out all year?

Well it's my first time listening, and it's not what I expected. I guess in a good way?

My dad has enjoyed this trick several times. Sneaky little turkey.

I'm not trying to stoke the fear fire (re: outbreak in Texas); merely trying to advocate for mindfulness in taking care of yourself. No two bodies are exactly the same. Do what's best for you and your health.

I elected to forgo the titer because I work in higher education. A booster is already recommended for college students, faculty, and staff due to increased risk of exposure on campus. I'm 99.9% remote but better safe than sorry.

Some of us in this age group only received one MMR vax because that was the standard at the time. But even some who received the revised standard of two jabs said their titers were low. If you're wondering about your own immunity level, talk to your doctor about a titer test.

I also miss the days when I had a metabolism that allowed me to eat that junk regularly with little consequence. 😂

I worked in convenience stores through high school and college. My "breakfasts" were often drinks like Mt Dew and something salty. My go-to at the end of my gas station days was a big fountain soda and Frito Lay products dipped in chili cheese sauce from the hot dog station. I still miss it, tbh.

It doesn't always work out. We just happened to be at the right Dairy Queen at the right time. Being in the middle of February, it's either too cold or too snowy to really celebrate. I've joked about moving it back a month, which would put me in your neighbor, my Piscean friend.

"We have horrible reliability and owner satisfaction. It costs a shit ton to maintain and repair our vehicles. Hey, I know! Let's put pop up ads in the cars whenever our disgruntled users stop at a light, drive through, or bus crossing! That'll turn things around!"

Oh, that's great! Sounds like it's been a success!

I mean, I barely post on Meta platforms anyway, but I do have pockets of people I chat with. And now I suddenly don't feel like doing that anymore. This on top of the aura of yuck their recently layoffs created around them.
