Yeah I’m pretty sure the kids know we predate the ICE age.

Winnipeg is like, what if we did a pedestrian mall like other cities have tried to overwhelming success, but also what if we let cars be pedestrians too.

Wouldn’t want anyone to impale their Impala or ram their Ram or F their F150.

Janice is delaying this because she wants us to die, I suspect.

Ah, but surely the person invited to speak at Bike Winnipeg’s AGM is a friend to active transportation. As she told us at her active transportation town hall, she got into politics because of this. Would she betray such friends?

Hard to see on the video, but there are reflective driveway marker poles standing in the end of most of the barriers, and cones at the beginning of lanes at intersections

Here’s a picture with 75 people in it at 5:15pm, and none of the people down the street or around the trampoline are pictured

This article should be corrected to account for the fact that the reporter counting people evidently left less than half an hour into a two hour event. We counted over 100 shortly after 5pm, and nearly 300 by 6pm. 200 hot dogs were served.

I guess we should try asking for a hundred million dollar rec centre in the far reaches of the city if we want something from Janice Lukes

They avoided dropping this on Rob Jenner’s birthday I guess, but disgusting to announce this on the anniversary of his death.

Wendy, Rob’s widow, was IN THE ROOM when Janice Lukes promised this. We’re having a block party TODAY at Rob’s ghost bike to celebrate Rob. We hoped we could celebrate safe infrastructure coming in his name, too.

Rob Jenner was killed by a driver one year ago TODAY. Councillor Janice Lukes hasn’t delivered on safety measures that she promised the community would be implemented THIS YEAR. And now she’s pushing back even LOOKING at the proposal into JULY.

It’s a good thing you negotiated for religious holidays off in your last round of bargaining.

The existing barriers to cycling are low hanging fruit for our city for quality of life improvements and as a means of attracting people to Winnipeg. I don't view it as a cost, but rather, something we can't afford to ignore any longer.
