Such perfect prose as usual. You’ve always tried not to talk about the refs, but my God, they’re making it so hard for you this season!

Brilliant raw scouse emotion. But equally fair and logical. Cheers Neil for summing up how I was feeling.

A clean sheet achieved by the whole team. Brilliant performances from Diaz and Mo. Just perfect tactics from the boss. A great weekend.

Positioning of Virg and Ibou in the second half is crazy.

I can’t imagine any scenario that would result in wanting an Arsenal win. It’s a club. And a team I have always had a soft spot for since the days of Charlie George. But they are the new Leeds, a dirty, cynical bunch led by a robot who bends every rule in the pursuit of victory.

Love the xg trend line. Can we borrow the lad at Arsenal to sort out the set pieces?

Love you too.

Great to be top of the league by six points with a game in hand. Manure raised their game today while we underperformed. It happens.

A great piece, Simon. Here’s to a much better 2025.

Love the use of the word ‘investors’ to describe the people who blindly followed a tipster who admitted he has no edge in the bets he was making. Fools would be a better term.

He really seems to. But he played for us. I know he’s a wool so who does he support?

Would be interested to know what the stats are for ground covered and sprints compared with last season. Are the figures lower and does this indicate a conscious effort to conserve energies and reduce risk of injuries, especially when taking the lead in games?
