Not the only angle here (obviously) but this is gonna decimate DC’s Public Works maintenance budget.

This is kid is the real Big Balls. He is our Tiananmen Tank Man. Someone please call Banksy.

Yay, the sublime joy of one’s favorite callroom being available…

Reposting this and asking everyone to ignore everything about that guy (whoever he is), and just concentrate on the fact that Greta Thunberg looks like something out of a Jacques Louis David painting here. Please, put this pic on all the posters.

Some of y'all cant handle 2 high agency males going at it and it really shows

They both have great cards, I hope they play them all.

Now that I know that this Swiss Army knife exists, I am filled with an insatiable lust to own it. Like, just look at it.

Regarding Swiss Army knives: what is the skinny knife w the hole in it used for? I have used every tool in the Swiss Army knife except that one, and it baffles me.

There’s a mockingbird going OFF in back of my house.

Watching my cat watch a hummingbird at the feeder is pretty funny bc my cat is watching the hummingbird, but also making absolutely no moves to try to try to catch it. Like, my cat can tell when she’s outclassed.

Spring is good bc there are many new things to smell.

The night before last I saw a bald eagle flying over the Miami River on the way into work. I had a good night. Last night I did not see an eagle, and it was not a good night. Based on this experience, I am now an enthusiastic convert to bird augury.

The reason that moral philosophy spent millennia arguing about the nature of “good” is that Donald Trump hadn’t yet been born, so they had no absolute frame of reference

Cat is very happy that I am home from work.

“Chat I’m starting to feel funny about my private prison.”

Feel like the better version of this is like “important to remember this whole Twitter billionaire fight started over whether they were going to take health care from 15 million or 30 million Americans.”

The BBC has two British guys reading Trump and Elon’s posts like it’s Masterpiece Theater

In order to eliminate any inconvenience to cars, we’ve made it illegal for children to be children

I think part of the appeal of AI is the appeal of the new, partly the fact that it allows us to minimize unwanted human interaction, and partly the appeal to our human death drive. We’ve been told in countless books and movies of the dangers of AI. That sense of danger makes AI appealing.

I think that an under-appreciated reason for why people are jumping to adopt AI is that humans are kind of a pain in the ass to work with.

With businesses and government increasingly outsourcing human intellectual labor to AI, I think there are questions that need to be raised about where moral responsibility lays when mistakes are made as a result of those technologies.
