I wouldn't be so sure. America speedruns what happened in all autocracies and so far there are no signs this will end in the foreseeable future. And once the regime is settled, it won't be easy to remove it. Also 2A won't help.

Yea, for him this is not nazism as long as you like these guys and they send you 1000lb bombs.

Going to Mars with our current technology is simply impossible. I mean settling a colony there. You can send a suicide squad there, but that'll end pretty quick and disastrous. If someone would be serious about Solar system colonization instead of vanity projects, they would begin with the Moon.

I recall the crackdown of Q degenerates, this stuff looks way worse, but it's left completely unattended. At this rate by November the lunatics will be absolutely derailed from reality and God knows what they will be ready to do after being filled up with pure hatred towards everything around.

All in all, Xitter is literally a propaganda machine by now and I'm sure it will get much, much worse when the elections in the US get closer I don't know what the authorities there think by allowing this, I guess they just believe it all would work out somehow on its own? It won't.
comment in response to

I'm pretty sure that in the US it looks even worse than from here. And no, it's not about their engagement numbers, I've seen a lot of such posts with far fewer views counts (and it's no wonder that the views are bloated considering how these posts are aggressively pushed into users' feeds).

This is my new account that I created there for testing purposes. I never engaged with this type of content. I never even opened any of those posts. So it basically means that the algorithm intentionally shovels them down the throat of every new account. And I'm not even in the US.

I have my eyes to see that, I don't need any media for that. He might look good for an 81 year old, but he's still 81 years old. Sorry, it's just an objective reality that he's very old. And all I say is that it's a pity that the US political system apparently can't offer anyone better.

Yet he doesn't tweet about the Hungary deepening partnership with Iran (would love to see the reaction of all these pseudo "muh trad based Christians" to such news).

Obviously everyone, it's just that I think the American politics (both parties, again) requires a lot of "reboots" and more younger people with fresh view on things, more energy etc, so it wouldn't be a council of elders. The problem is that these "younger people" turn out to be someone like Vivek 😕

Well, he openly said it many times that he's running for president to drop all charges simply by being a president, but his cultists read his words and see "waow so based much fight woke purge illegal aliens many murrica first" and all the other "great again" imaginary stuff.

I'm not American and it's not for me to judge, just pointing out that it's sad American "balanced and stable" political system turned out to be a choice between two very old men, one of whom is building a fascist cult around him and another is extremely tired 😕
comment in response to

A lot of them will, but many more will be on the receiving end of the gun 🤭 The dictatorship is paranoid, it's one of the main traits of such regime. And it gets rid of anyone even remotely suspicious, while these people will be VERY suspicious.
comment in response to

Americans have zero experience of living in dictatorship, not to tell living in fascist dictatorship. Therefore all their dreams (from both left and right by the way) about some "good dictatorship that will purge the unclean" look so laughable.
comment in response to
post
This is how dictatorship works. And people do not require orders from the highest ranks to act this way. They just know that if someone in the crowd of random people blinks some message in Morse code, they all will get into trouble. And to avoid that they stage the entire scene with specific actors.
comment in response to

Their logic was 'if there is a subway in north Korea, why would anyone try to stage this specific video instead of just recording a daily commute there?' And the answer is simple: "ЧТОБЫ ЧЕГО НЕ ВЫШЛО". In russian this means "to avoid any unexpected situations". And this means any at all.
comment in response to

Not so long ago there was a viral video from North Korea of people traveling the subway, and many people were saying 'omg, just look at that, they have normal life and a good subway'. When others pointed out the video is staged, these people asked 'why would Koreans need that?'
comment in response to

Yes. And the fun fact is all these people think they will be pulling the trigger in mass executions which they so much dream about, the reality is they will be executed among the first. Because the Americans do not realize at all how fascist dictatorship works.

Same. I wonder what Xitter would look like if just for a day there was a major disruption of the internet in russia (it happened recently, but it caused an outage of .ru websites, not the access to the global web).
comment in response to

That hellscape is a full blown political tool and propaganda machine now, so just like the russians don't care about the profitability of Gazprom used as a leverage of political pressure, Elmo doesn't care about the profitability of Xitter, since its purpose is not making money anymore.

Twitter is no longer a commercial project, it's a political propaganda weapon, so Elmo doesn't care whether it's profitable or not, the goal is to keep huge number of people there to shove his talking points down their throats so it would somehow reflect the real life politics in his favor.

Same here, I never cared less when foreigners made mistakes in my native languages, in fact I feel grateful that they're trying to speak them.

People like that keep saying "I don't support Russia, I only ask questions and dislike woke American deep state swamp", then they go to Russia and support Russia. Also it's hilarious seeing how the Russians praise the REAL AMERICAN who visited them, they're really that much insecure 🤭

Money well spent actually. Musk got a huge platform for his political warfare and it seems to pay off (just by looking at how the most deranged stuff is boosted thete and benefits Trump and his supporters). Twitter is not a commercial project anymore, it's a political tool.

My personal observation is that native speakers usually don't care about others' mistakes, while it's non-natives who feel obliged to point them out 🤣

Yeap, as an analytic language it's simultaneously very flexible and strict, so correctly conveying the intended meaning is pretty easy (unlike synthetic languages where you have to account hundreds of nuances to not sound extra weird lol).
comment in response to

I guess only very crude people would point out mistakes when someone writes in their non-native language. I'm also not an English speaker, but it's useful to more or less communicate with people from all around the world, and minor errors should never be problematic.

Algorithmic feed was broken to drop you more topics you're not interested in, so you'd interact with them. And mostly that content was something hateful to increase probability of your reaction (people tend to react to negative stuff more often). It all was intentional.
comment in response to

Bots infestation, Musk turning from meme space weirdo to political lunatic, boosting hatred on the platform for interactions and using it as a propaganda weapon. Lots of reasons. Twitter remains a huge platform and won't go anywhere, but it's sad to see what it became.

Тупо машина ненависті, але не такої, як у нульових, де ненависть була одним зі складових "we do this for the lulz", а просто максимум хейту.
