So cuts to benefits and cuts to support that helps us work (and be less reliant on benefits)? Disabled people don't disappear when government withdraws support... we just suffer.

Just a snippet of @racheltaylorbeales.bsky.social and me - really looking forward to tonight’s gig in Swansea then I hope we’ll get the chance to create things again when I’m in Laugharne in March

If you ordered my daft doodle book from me, I’ve issued a refund to everyone. I didn’t get enough preorders to make it and I’d be making a loss. It’s also not completely finished yet and my hearts not in it. Rather refund. If I finish the book eventually, folks can order again.

@mrewanmorrison.bsky.social Am I able to preorder your new book directly from you? Am I trying to get a sneaky signed copy? Maybe. Hahah! Happy to follow the links via your publisher.

A reminder and as Mind charity explain: "Blue Monday is a myth and it trivialises the experiences of the 1 in 6 people who struggle with depression."

one of the biggest and simplest ways to both do something, and FEEL like you’re doing something, is to find a small nonprofit with a cause you care about. donate, volunteer, join a board. offer pro bono skills if you have them (tech support, accounting, legal). help them fundraise. they need you

I quit things when my mental illness tells me I’m useless. I quit things I’ve taken years building. I quit making music as Laurence Made Me Cry. A project that earned me award nominations, took me on tours and enabled me to work with so many amazing people. Laurence is coming out of retirement.

Count Duckula might be a delicious snack but the vampire carrot? Fang-tastic. I’ll get my coat. Haven’t drawn my favourite vegetarian vampire duck for a while. Feeling nostalgic.

Officially another year older. I hope you have a festive time. May your day involve cheese at some point.

We’re in the process of redecorating the bathroom so have stripped the wallpaper. Every time I go in the room I see this little wise mouse with a staff within the dirt patterns on the old plaster. Finally brought him to life on my iPad! 🐭 What do you see?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Check in on your retail worker friends. We are more than likely going through it and putting on a brave face. Especially in the coming days Remember - a little kindness to the person in that shop can be a huge help to their day. 💜

Hey Folks, Video launch. Here's the trailer for my new novel FOR EMMA. It's a techno-gothic thriller about love, loss & fighting back against the Big Tech overlords. It's published on 25 March 2025 with Leamington Books. Turn up the volume and enjoy. Love to hear your thoughts. Cheers.

This is an astonishing statement, a complete fantasy. Baseless Techbro PR babble. The arts is a huge industry in the UK, raking in billions despite a huge lack of central support. Our government now appear to want to crater this to facilitate thieves. Write to your MP.

There’s a habit in the creative industries at the moment to bundle a load of different jobs into the one role with exceptionally low pay for the amount of specific skills and experience they’re expecting. Misleading job titles in the ads too. Frustrating.

My uncle’s obituary in The Herald. A wonderfully in-depth look at a fascinating man. www.heraldscotland.com/opinion/obit...

Would love to connect with my Celtic pals again after I left “the bad place”. Starting to get back into doing art for fun again and definitely have some Celtic artwork planned. 🍀💚 I’m not a Celtic only account though so you’ll have to put up with me wittering on about random shite 😂

It’s the last ‘Read The Room’ Recommends of 2024! Whoop! Contributor Amber shares with us her highlights from the year (and one from 2023, shhhh) including our first video game recommendation! Nice one! readtheroommagazine.com/read-the-roo...

Sadly, it’s a good time to once again share this amazing infographic that we ran at @science.org more than 7 years ago 🧪 #IDsky www.science.org/content/arti...

I sketched this Celtic FC Christmas card idea a couple years back and didn’t get around to finishing it. Is 2025 the year I restart the tradition? 🤔🍀

I wrote an editorial! As achievements go, starting this magazine, getting to work with and write about some brilliant people has been amazing. The year has flown by. Here’s to many more.

Man the thing about Ko-Fi and Patreon and stuff is like, for the price of a gacha pull per month, you can be part of the reason why someone you believe in gets to pursue what they actually want to do. Through the power of many you can help ppl you like chase their dreams for a gacha pull per month.

There’s not much left of 2024 but still enough time for the year to continue to be a total arsehole with curveball after curveball. I am tired and wish to be surprise free for the next two and a bit weeks. Please be boring. Thank you.

I have a beloved cis het kid in my extended family who needed puberty blockers when she was 7 to stop her tipping into puberty way too early and it saved her. I am on hormones because I'm perimenopausal and it's saved me. Trans kids (and adults) should have the same rights and life-saving access.

Ever wondered why walking around museums is weirdly tiring? At normal speed our legs act like pendulums, swinging forward from the hip & saving us a huge amount of energy. In "museum shuffle" our muscles must do ALL the work of constant readjustment. So cake in the cafe is scientifically justified 🥳

It’s been a little while since I sketched one of the Celtic bhoys. This one has been in my “to sketch” album as soon as I saw it. Daizen Maeda really putting in the effort this season. 💚🍀😇

Me: my makeup should be fine. Not worn it since the wedding but… Wife: …that was nearly 7 years ago which means we probably bought it 8 years ago… Me: …yeah? Wife: Alfie. We’re going to buy me some new makeup. 😂
