Funny thing, as soon as I posted my rant about bookmarks, some kind of bot suggested me this app: bsky.app/profile/skym...
Anyways, I expect to keep the bookmarks in Bsky, not on an outside tool šæ

Bookmarks.
I canāt believe Bsky still doesnāt have BOOKMARKS.
Sometimes you want to read something later.

Under your ārequirementsā, the whole Russell and Norvigās Artificial Intelligence textbook wouldnāt count as AI research, just because it isnāt āsentientā nor leads directly to AGI.
Nonsense.
Iāll let you be.
Good day.

It IS a type Artificial Intelligence, but its proper name is Narrow AI or Weak AI, when compared with the Artificial General Intelligence or Strong AI.
Remember that the AI field started with Search Algorithms and Symbolic Logic.
Everything is useful šø

So, now you have your work cut out for you.
And, as the saying goes: āThe best moment to start was yesterday. But the next best moment is right nowā.
One good place to start is reading my newsletter, where I provide weekly tips on how to approach this situation. (8/9)

You need to embrace Agility in your organization, and a methodical process for managing change (easier said than done, as those of you that have some experience already know).
And Customer Experience.
Customer Experience will be your secret weapon and differentiator. (7/9)

The first and most important thing to achieve is the ability to learn fast, and put into practice even faster.
More disruption is coming, and you need to reshape your organization to become capable of adapting in weeks, not months or years.
This will be key for survival (6/9)

So you are an entrepreneur or a small business owner (or leader).
And you know all of this is coming your way. PRONTO.
How will it affect your industry? And your business in particular?
Will entire industries disappear?
What should you do first?
When should you begin to worry? (5/9)

What we believe will happen in 20 years, will happen in 2 or 3 instead, because every bit of progress in a field reinforces the others in a virtuous spiral that is about to go out of control or predictability.
We call that moment the āTechnological Singularityā. (4/9)

- And letās not go into what Nanotechnology or Quantum Computing can bring to the table as Disruptive Technologiesā¦
Those are the ones we can see in the horizon right now.
Imagine the ones we cannot, yet.
The pace of development is exponential, not linear, like our brain thinks. (3/9)

- Cryptocurrency payments (like Bitcoin) and global Blockchain logistics allow retail purchases from overseas to be at your doorstep in 2-3 days instead of 2-3 months.
- Offshore professional services providing PhD level consultants at a fraction of the local costs. (2/9)

I went to the gym after work, when my brain was out of commission š¹
Funny thing, after the workout I was so relaxed that I couldnāt even remember where I had parked the car š
And now my brain was back and I could do a bit more reading, writing, etc.
Different person, different stories šø

Yeah, it is a personal thing, for sure.
Iām not a morning person.
I did go to the gym at 5 am. for some time, but didnāt work for me.
Even after showering I kept sweating and with a feeling of physical exhaustion.
So I went back to my evening gym routine. (1/2)

Iām on the Apple ecosystem, so I use OmniFocus for my Getting Things Done implementation, and Focus Timer for my Pomodoro.
Those work really well šø

Oooh⦠it is THE rabbit hole š°š
Because you first spend time finding the right methodology (Pomodoro? GTD?), then the right tool, and after that, you spend time filling the tool with content š¹ (or migrating your content from the previous tool, ha ha ha).
Been there, done thatā¦

Nice! Iāll read it later!
BTW, speaking of ERPs, you just reminded me that Odoo (previously OpenERP) has gotten a lot of attention lately (rounds of investment).
It is probably the most solid Open Source ERP today.
Good to see Open Source thriving.

Perhaps the most important capability a business needs to acquire today is learning how to learn fast, adapt in weeks instead of months or years, and do so efficiently (without spending half the budget on it).

Indeed!
The rules have changed drastically... and many people (and businesses) still don't realize it.
They are going to get eaten... and we need to warn them, and teach them how to thrive š¼

Excellent concept!
Just replace "asymptomatically" (without any symptoms) with "asymptotically" (the math concept) ;)

Yeah.
I really was inspired by Ray Kurzweil's vision in "The Singularity is Near" a few years ago.
The exponential rate of changes, that fool our linear minds.
I ended up making my newsletter all about it š¤£
Because no matter how the market, consumer or industries change: the business must go on.
