I hope I’ll always have the integrity to use an honorific when I address a man who tried to have me killed.

I keep saying Dems need to do a daily briefing on Capitol Hill and fill the void, fact check the WH. Hire Pete Buttigeig and give him a staff to do this.

Embarrassing. You’re embarrassing.

Hey, hep brush off! If you give me your mailing address, I’ll send your complimentary Allen Dulles Admiration Society t-shirt.

The shelves of books finding fault with the Warren Commission aren’t exactly Alex Jones level quackery. Believe what you want about Oswald’s guilt, but the investigation’s bias and lack of credibility are not controversial.

This also stinks.

It’s one thing to call out Republican bad faith. It’s the only kind of faith they have. But it’s been awhile since I saw anyone cite the Warren Report as the dependable product of a good faith investigation.

About way past time.

It seems among Trump’s few insights is that there is no one to prevent that standard from being adopted.

You don’t have to vote for Pam Bondi to reassure those voters. He’s changed so much in terms of his apparent strategic acumen I can’t help but attribute it to his medical emergency.

I fail see how their political calculations work here, outside placating some of their constituents’ stated desire for bipartisanship. It’s up to them explain to those constituents why a united effort to stop this presidency on every front is vital.

Limitless money and not one of them can manage to get a suit that fits.

Kinda makes you want to go back in time and not dump on Democrats 24/7.

Nobody has debunked anything. There weren’t even recounts in any state. They are hoping we put our faith in the notion that ‘26 and ‘28 will be real elections and do nothing to spotlight or stop the criminality that brought us here. More kitchen table issues politics from Democrats.

It may be simple, but I’m not convinced it’s true.

I don’t get your question. If machines are hacked in swing states it’s easy to get the popular votes necessary to win sufficient electoral votes to win the election. I maintain that machines were hacked. But there won’t be investigations bc Trump foxed Democrats into insisting fraud is nonexistent

He cheated. He confessed on a live mic.

True. But they have a bottomless appetite for his hypocrisy. I also don’t think they know much or really care about Soros or his alleged crimes. He’s a buzzword. Anyone T picks is the right choice to them.

Democrats failed America by not challenging the election results because Trump rendered that a shabby thing to do. He obviously cheated.

Did you read the rest of it? “I’m friends with quite a few Silicon Valley billionaires, and I’m amazed at how many things they’ve failed at.”

I’m encouraging Democratic leaders to improve their messaging. Trump did federal employees, including the head of the FAA. It’s more likely that played a role in this tragedy than that DEI did.

Keep saying this every day. Trump did this. The tower was understaffed because he’s destroying the government. People will continue to die if he isn’t stopped.

Obviously the answer to your question is no. But the level of dishonesty, corruption and election tampering the Right engages in to enable their judicial project is remarkable. That’s what I meant by mendacity. I’m not saying Dems shouldn’t have pursued the same project.
comment in response to post
“This is all very simple stuff.” I guess our ideas of what the word simple means are different. Maybe it’s not sophisticated so much as diabolical. Democrats didn’t do it because we’re not as comfortable with the required mendacity to accomplish it or even think of it. I don’t know.
comment in response to post
If you mean the rank and file House and Senate conservatives, I agree. But the intellectual and legal wing is pretty sophisticated. Leonard Leo and his ilk kicked our ass. It only took them 40 years.

Is this really happening? Bezos is this revolting? I have to pivot from dwelling on his crapulence to wondering how the generally admirable MacKenzie Scott could’ve spent a single day married to him. I pray it was for the money.

Is it possible a useful number of Democratic members are planning to do this but keeping it quiet? Possibly?
