Also look how pathetic he seems here. He's mumbling and slouched over, barely seems present in the moment except for a petulant bluster at being defied.
He has immense political power only because the apparatus of government refuses to stand in his way.

The colder environments get, the more everyone is motivated to close off their empathy, stop being generous, stop listening, and wall up around their own needs. It makes people tight, fearful, paranoid, and hostile. And most people don't realize this is why they're coming to feel that way.

The long and short is: if you want to feel heard and seen in a relationship—whether it's a relationship with a person or with a group—there needs to be some warmth. Some compassion. There needs to be incentive for the other people in the relationship to consider your needs and not just their own.

When your respect for the working class specifically excludes the negatively racialised part of the working class (i.e. a disproportionately large section of it), that suggests that it's not really working class people you respect and prioritise. It is, shall we say, another group of people.

I.e. Is it possible to build tech that functions through distributed local communities and cooperatives and doesn't just create a nightmare of community drama through accumulating power with your local nerd lord instead of global ones?
