In other words, if you’re getting antisemitic because of a particular Jew that is an asshole, it’s because you harbor antisemitic views. No one is responsible for your antisemitism except for you

ETA: I should have said “I’m not sure what your point is” instead. My bad

If it were as simple as 50/50 reg split, we wouldn’t have the trend of Dems winning popular vote but losing EC
comment in response to post
Moreover, the registration stat given does not take into account 1) independent voters, which are large in some states, and 2) Dems are historically more likely to be crossover voters (see: CA Gov Arnold). NPP in CA is = REP registered voters.

If every state has at least 3 electoral votes, & votes aren’t awarded proportional to ballots case, & dem voters aren’t distributed evenly amongst the states (CA & NY w/disproportion), it doesn’t matter if registration is 50/50 because the EC puts the thumb on the scale in favor of more rural states

I’m not sure you’re making the point you think you are. Especially since CA has 37 million people in it, LA county alone has more registered Dem registered than there are voters in several states (probably combined, since we’re 10 million people total) & CA hasn’t elected a statewide R in 19 years

Kind of besides the point, but that’s a useless graph because of the Electoral College. Voter registration might be evenly split, but not on a state by state basis. CA and NY probably skew that stat alone.

She’s absolutely correct. People didn’t understand that weather changes like stronger hurricanes, larger floods, deadlier tornado storms = global warming because they don’t feel warmer at those times. They associate it with extreme heat and drought.

But further down in that piece they are still saying they wouldn’t have voted for Kamala. I don’t know what the solution is here.

Hypothetical question: Hamas is recognized as a terrorist group in the US. If he or others were found to have coordinated with Hamas in their actions on campus, would ICE have reason to act? What would be considered giving material support to a terrorist group?

Btw, if you are reposting me and you are anti-Zionist, you are not going to like my other posts on here 😆. Feel free to undo your repost.

Since my reply got 🔂 : Every ethnic group has fringe members who don’t consider the effect of their own extremism on their future. Mainstream Jews seem to agree it was wrong to target him. We have real concerns about growing antisemitism on campuses. This might make things worse, AND it was anti-🇺🇸

Nazis working with Jews to attack civil liberties using a McCarthy era law that targeted Jewish immigrant Holocaust survivors should be an enormous red flag. apple.news/Aa6AD8ttFTjy...

And so on until they get to just the average Joes they think threaten their ability to dominate discourse or rule.

Yes if he is truly being rounded up for things guaranteed by the first amendment. Because if they want to weaken freedoms, they’re going to do it first with an unpopular person with an unpopular agenda who most people will agree is terrible. And then the next person will be slightly less terrible…

This is all FOTUS. He subscribed to the white replacement theory the fringe was floating before Elon came into his orbit. Musk is still awful, all things being equal.

It’s usually based on who he last spoke to according to the memoirs of the people from his last administration. He’s very prone to manipulation

(4) He was also probably already agitated by the antisemitic shit already happening to him by another group of fascists at Cal.

So your not not saying he’s threatened Senators’ lives to get the votes

Real talk: we’d be trading a wannabe king for a real monarchy. Not sure how great that is.

I am shocked at the amount of MAGA supporters that are shocked and angered that the public is reacting with shock and anger. Am I allowed to be shocked at that? (Going to open the substack now…)

Example: Elon launches satellites via Space X and Starlink. No one will be purchasing new phones and other equipment if they don’t have the money. No one will be able to afford new Teslas. Necessities will be it. So long-term, isn’t he damaging his companies and his wealth?
comment in response to post
The part I don’t understand re motivation: guys like Musk rely on people being able to purchase their products in order to maintain wealth. All these cuts are going to crash the market and no one will be able to afford to buy what they are selling. 1/

I‘m loath to make Nazi comparisons, HOWEVER does he lack that much self awareness to not realize he sounds like he’s talking about taking Czechoslovakia in the 1930s?
