Positives City can take from the RMA loss: - Josko Gvardiol is world class - Erling Haaland continues to prove himself as a big game player - John Stones is a delight to watch - Savinho continues to come into his own - The midfield literally cannot get any worse next year Anything else?

Positive signs for City in the market, more so for next season than this. These players - of course - will have a part to play in the remainder of this season, but the extra time theyโ€™ll get to settle without too much pressure could be invaluable for 25/26.

Fully in favour of City getting through the Villa game and having a โ€˜circuit breakerโ€™ to stem the injuries. Play some of the kids, place less emphasis on results and prioritise short-term damage for long/medium-term gain.

At least when City lost against Spurs in the League Cup they were trying to be bad

Respect to anyone that gets through all 45 minutes of this

And that's why. Individual errors costing City again. "A season to suffer" says Pep in his post-match press conference. Certainly feels that way.

Big win for City but big picture takes will be reserved for 5:30pm on Saturday post-Palace. Kev, Doku & Grealish major positives to take after a dismal couple of weeks though.

The Harry Kane trophy curse continues. Bayern Munich knocked out of the DFB Pokal by reigning champions Bayer Leverkusen. It means just two trophies remain on offer for Kane, Vincent Kompany and Bayern this season.

Not overly enthused about the news City going for Martรญn Zubimendi is most likely to happen in the summer and not January, especially if it's the player's decision. That extra six months with Pep could be crucial for Zubimendi's development.

One to come back to at the end of the seasonโ€ฆ Does anyone think City win the league from this point on?

Big thanks to @lewissteele.bsky.social coming on this to record *inside Anfield*. Tried to get him to perform some witchcraft juju on the Liverpool team. Unfortunately he didnโ€™t oblige. Still worth a listen though!

Big coat vibes this morning! ๐Ÿฅถ Big shout to The City Rambleโ€™s @amosmurphy.bsky.social & Owen McColgan for chatting to me after Man Cityโ€™s stumble in the Champions League and Pepโ€™s problems ahead of facing Liverpool on Sunday. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ #mancity

Cityโ€™s likely shopping list for the next two transfer windows: - Holding midfielder - Right back - Centre back - LCB or LB - Goal-scoring forward - Box-to-box midfielder - Possibly a #10 / creative mid How did it get this bad? ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Cityโ€™s next six: Liverpool (A) Nottingham Forest (H) Crystal Palace (A) Juventus (A) Man United (H) Aston Villa (A) Where does the next win come from, genuinely?

89th minute, just conceded two quick-fire goals after being 3-0 up, and this is the back line? What. On. Earth

I know thereโ€™s some understandable complaints about Grealishโ€™s G/A return, but he doesnโ€™t half get unlucky at times.

Matheus Nunes a breath of fresh air in midfield for City tonight. Actual legsโ€ฆ that can move.

Have had plenty of complaints the last few weeks, but all things considered that was a totally acceptable half from City bordering on decent.
