Do it! I was in exactly the same position, and now 6 months in, most of the time everyone else is paying attention to their own projects. The rest of the time, we all compliment each other on our yarn skills.

We've been working on our FAFSA this week...I might be wasting my time, but I've decided to keep pushing forward pretending everything is still normal. Seems like the trend these days is to create your own reality anyway.
