Capitalist societies cannot be trusted with medical assistance in dying. Unless every human life is equally valued by society, giving society the right to kill is permitting it to murder those of less value.

Assisted Suicide bill that Labour are pushing through is horrifying. Here's a list of safeguards the committee led by Leadbeater has voted down. Meanwhile Leadbeater suggesting anorexia could be included and that it should be discussed with kids (who aren't elligible). Any advocates worried yet?

The hell of it is that the EU could be energy independent and restructure its industrial strategy to better use limited petrochemicals, but has held off due to US hegemony resting on control of payments in oil markets. Won't, but a "Oh, whoops," moment from the USA fucking it would be very funny.

The obvious media pivot is going to be that Ukraine was given all the support it needed to win but blew it all with incompetent commanders and refusing to listen to sound advice, getting drunk on supply, and so now it's only sensible to turn off the tap and have difficult conversations.

Does Ukraine have a Nazi problem? Absolutely. Was Russia's invasion of Ukraine set in motion by coup in Ukraine in 2014? Probably. Still, that meeting in the White House between Zelensky, Trump, and Vance incredibly uncomfortable watching. I know the USA is beyond shame, but holy shit. 1/3
