Some specialty indy bookstores survive (i.e. new age/metaphysical) if you have one of those in your area, they almost certainly will be delighted to special order for you. (I speak as the former book buyer for one in ATL.)

I fully believe the overnight shutdown was a stunt—more malicious than a stunt—but the ban itself was all of ‘em, fueled by Zuckerberg inciting fear in tech-illiterate Boomers, some of whom had well-timed, personal interest in Meta stock, among other nefarious things.

I appreciate your acknowledging that it is a real loss. Many of us found community there. It’s been a source of humanity and joy and education. I’m devastated and disconnected without it, but I know you’re right. This discussion is occurring there and plans for organizing elsewhere are being made.
