Also, reading to children at bedtime is one of the greatest pleasures of being a parent. There is so much drudgery involved elsewhere, it would be madness to miss out on this golden moment of shared enjoyment. Our 11-y-o still loves it and I'll be sad when he 'grows out of it'.

Wish I could tell you. I didn't even know what Amaro is! Had to ask the bartender when ordering. I take it there are different kinds - just different qualities and subtle differences or completely different types like dry/sweet red/white?

I had one of these for the first time yesterday. Then had another. Very tasty. They made it two parts bourbon one part campari one part amaro and it was delicious.
