In any franchise with so many offerings there is going to be a wide variation of quality. Thunderball is absolutely on the low end. But to pretend that entire franchise was bad is ridiculous.

Molotov-Ribbentrop pact ending early?

I thought All Defense was one of the criteria for the supermax?

Unfortunately, I think the people who voted for Trump want this type of thing very much.

The root cause of all these dumb rules is the stupid way they tied max contract eligibility to postseason awards. The league and NBPA need to figure out a better way than putting that responsibility into the hands of media observers.

There are some. I’m pretty sure GM, Ford, and Hyundai offer them, at least.

Yes, I just don't think it's some genius plan to prop up Tesla. It's just a stupid 'burn everything down' rampage.
comment in response to post
Every Tesla comes with an adapter for that exact type of charger.

Not great.

Great question.

That county went 61% for Trump.

Chippewa County gave 60.9% of its vote to Donald Trump in 2024.

They do this type of thing regularly. Never ever believe that the people they quote supporting the GOP are unconnected to the party apparatus.

‘Only Democrats have agency’ has been the #1 rule of the political media for years now.

I think the ‘don’t sell out’ argument fell apart when The Beatles started letting their catalog be used in commercials.

I don't have one; recorded it off my phone. I assume they're on youtube.

Interesting; didn't know they were releasing a new version. I haven't really played since Civ III - still occasionally pull that one up. If this is good then maybe it's time to modernize, lol.

I don’t think that is a full-on conspiracy theory, tbh. There has been serious lobbying for that for years.

Freshly made tortillas chips from the in-store bakery of Texas' favorite grocery chain. They're better than all packaged brands and 90% of restaurants.

I get that but, especially on defense, many people put almost blind faith in something like EPM to tell them something different than what they see. As always, combine data with judgment. In this case, maybe the gulf between the 2 isn't as huge as we think but it isn't so small as this says.
comment in response to post
EPM has a great reputation as a comprehensive stat. But don’t counter-intuitive results like that call it into question moreso than make you reconsider your point of view on Davis and Luka as defenders?
comment in response to post
Yes, yes it was. It’s why no one wants to make a big trade this week.

Yeah, but it's right next to a Pho vending machine!

I'm not sure if that's true of national media or the more intelligent parts of the fanbase but you are almost certainly correct about casual fans.

Just complaining to push agenda, it seems. Good episode today. Madison with excellent points re:Jalen.

Thankfully, Stone does not seem to operate that way.

Exactly this. If they were good/mature enough to not stumble against lesser teams then they'd be truly elite. Not there yet.

Thanks for this!

It obviously varies by the situation you're in. With experience you learn how to minimize the time spent charging on the road. For example, going from 10% to 50% is probably twice as fast as going from 50%-85%. If there are enough stations on your route it's not hard to plan.

I've never found taking 20-30 minutes to charge after driving 3.5-4 hours to be an issue. I want to use the bathroom, get something to eat/drink, and stretch my legs. I did it just last night; the car was ready to go before I was.

Charging away from home with a Tesla (or any vehicle with access to the supercharger network like the 2025 Ioniq 5) is NOT a pain. I've been doing it for seven years now.

It's weird to lump Houston (metro population of 7.1M) in with Portland (551K), Charleston (800K) or Milwaukee (1.5M) rather than NY, LA, or Chicago.

A Honda CR-eV for $45K might be the best selling vehicle in the country.

Yeah, it seemed obvious that the industry was going to win this one over the wonks.

Hmm. I didn't actually realize that Ja has missed so many games. That definitely hurts him. But just like with Houston, if Memphis stays in the top 3/4 then they'll have someone in the game and he's very popular. We'll see.

OKC is by far the best team in the West. They'll get more than one guy on the team.

Overall frontcourt locks are Jokic, LeBron, Durant, Wemby, and AD. Backcourt locks are SGA, Luka, Curry, Edwards, and Ja. That's 10 spots taken. Two left for JDub, Sengun, JJJ, Kyrie, Booker, Fox, etc. It will be tough.

I wonder what (who?) blocked them from having this kick in one year ago - before the election?
